You can write bad things about a dentist right here on Viewpoints. I reviewed a dentist and said a couple of negative things, although the overall rating was neutral (three stars). You can certainly give a dentist a one-star rating here -- just write the review and rate it at you see fit.

I agree with Bob.  You can write a negative review about a dentist or any service provider- Just be sure that you write it when you can be objective and fair.  Constructive criticism is good but slander isn't appropriate any place on the web.

I wrote about a bad experience at Sears Dental (then I wrote about a great dentist I found later).  Here at Viewpoints you can place your review in the Local Places Category (Home » Local Places » Doctors & Hospitals » Dentist Reviews » Name of Dentist).

Hope that helps.

My dental review was positive. I went around to two or three and picked the one I liked, so I like him. That's why I do see him. But if I got a dentist I didn't like, I'd say that. Trust me. Some of my reviews are not that flattering to the company/product.

I just have to ask. Is that Sears like the Sears/Roebuck store? Do they have dentists where you live? Wow - if so. Our Sears just have clothes, kitchen gear and lawnmowers and stuff like that.

Yes! The dental office is located right in the back of the hardware section of the Sears store. They've undergone a name change, and now they're calling it DentalWorks, but it's still the same operation.

I would love to write about my dentist, the one I work for, and list his name, because he is a pig, he convinces people they need work that they do not, he does horrid dentistry never goes to continuing education classes or cpr, I swear the board of health or osha would shut us down if they inspected,it is filthy!!! He does not follow the dental laws for our state on  anything! I can't do anything but suck it up cause the economy is soo bad and I have to feed my family and there aren't any jobs out there! He makes me sick, would love toi list his name, but better not, lets just say he is in western north carolina and if you have a dentist there finding lots of expensive tx, or trying to pressure you into treatment get a second opinion, especially if he is tall, going bald, wearing glasses and ugly!

For most of my life, I had the best dental care from a dentist that wasn't overly pleasant...but, he did great work.  He retired and I had to find a new one.  A neighbor gave me  the name of her dentist and said he was very nice.  Well, he was nice until he got my mouth so messed up with a bad bite and work that the insurance co. wouldn't pay for.  When I tried to complain, he just walked out of the room telling me to "keep flossing".  I never went back, but I should have made him fix the damage.  Bottom line:  Nice doesn't mean good work.  Beware!

Avoid periodontist David Pearson in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He's a pretty competent dentist, but his massive ego almost completely diminishes that. The last time he kept me waiting for an hour (typical) I mentioned it, and he flew into a rage. Scary!

Dr.Trovato Kearny NJ messed up my teeth and bite. He has a very clean office but that does not make up to his lousy dental work.

Family Care Center  in Kearny NJ charged me  12,000 for work which was not finished. The office is now out of business.

Beware if your dentist suggests a full plate crown for several teeth, I had gotten one a couple years back and my mouth still hasn't recovered from it!  My gums swell and get infected constantly, it has popped loose and upon removing it my dentist cracked it, to only fix it with a filling, and now the whole crown has shifted in my mouth and I have exposed teeth from underneath it that have been grinded down.  I have put close to $7,000 in this work and keep adding to it everytime I go back to get it worked on.  I am not sure where to go from here, I am almost to the verge of getting a denture and just forgetting it all, but why should I have to waste all of that money because my dentist cannot get the job done right.  Any suggestions?

I have pretty much gone thru the same thing with Sears Dental in the Aurora fox Valley sears store...The only thing I could have done now it have my top 7 teeth removed & paid for then pay for the dentures out of my pocket (from a diff DDS) I refuse to ever go or recommend Sears for dental work they also tried to tell me i couldnt have my teeth cleaned again due to some peridontal thing? And I have this little white spot on my bottom part of my gum & they said I need to go see a specialist to have it checked for cancer! Well ny new DDS couldnt believe I was told that..he called it something else but itsnt cancerous...it was all a bad experience & it was done in 2005..then I was making mo payments after what my dds Ins didnt pay & there was an agreement for me to do that & I paid them every mo & they turned me into a collection agency...just talked to the place the guy from the Coll agency was nice..he also said he put it on the clollection angency that I was rebuttling or what ever you call it...I call Sears back up & they wont give me my records becasue I still owe them $!

I had a HORRIBLE dental experience at Hamburg Expressions with Dr. Jenny Miller and her dental tech husband in Lexington, KY . It was an absolute NIGHTMARE for me. I paid $11,159.00 up front in good faith & the results were sloppy & unsatisfactory! I had to pay another dentist to redo all the work. Total Waste! They were completely arrogant and unprofessional. I would NOT recommend them to anyone!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

I have experienced terribly unprofessional conduct from my dentists at Johnsburg Dental in Johnsburg, Illinois. They gossip through the entire appointment, are usually late, and last time, I had to take a day off and pull my son out of school for an appointment I had confirmed THREE times, only to be told when we arrived that they couldn't see him because there was no doctor scheduled that day. Huh? Worse than that...they don't bill your insurance as promised and then hound you for payment. I had to actually go in there, make a scene to find out what they were doing. Last month, I owed 237.00 - this month it's over $400. Wow...pretty good scam.

Dr Mark Taylor is a horrible dentist - he is a horrible person. He runs a practice in Canberra that costs a lot of money and that's all he wants you for. he treats his patients like dirt and is a bully for payment and stands over you and is very agressive! I hope no one has to deal with a situation like this, remember this name DR MARK TAYLOR - do yourself a favour and go to another practice where you will be treated with respect, not just a money factory!

Do they use Craftsman tools? :)
