Health Pro Nutrition Vita Gravy for Dogs Food Topper —

Quick View: My dog, Mickey, is almost 14 years old. He's in good health overall but he had been getting super finicky about eating and was losing weight. When you're only 13 or 14 pounds, a pound or two matters! My vet suggested I try Health Pro Nutrition Vita Gravy for Dogs Food Topper. This gravy was a Godsend! My dog loves it and he gained back his lost weight and seems peppier and healthier.

My Take on Health Pro Nutrition Vita Gravy for Dogs Food Topper

This gravy comes in bottle and in pourable pouches. I have used both and they are equally as easy to use. The gravy has a lot of vitamins in it and it doesn't contain artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners, colors, animal by-products, or added chemicals or preservatives. It's better than people food!

You are supposed to give dogs one tablespoon per 10 pounds of body weight over their food daily. I was told to give Mickey two tablespoons a day until he gained weight, then scale back as needed.

Vita Gravy comes in several flavors. Mick likes Bacon and Cheese best but they all seem to taste good. Ordinarily, this gravy would go over dry food. But my dog is such a pampered pooch that he prefers canned and, since I was trying to get him to eat, I used the gravy on his favorite canned food.

I poured two tablespoons onto his food (It smelled delicious.) and mixed it up and then called Mickey to eat. He came into the kitchen and was about to walk away when I encouraged him to at least taste the food. To my surprise, he started sniffing it and then licking it and finally...eating it!

He ate almost all of his food that first day and has been eating well since. I have scaled back to one tablespoon a day and I switch flavors so he doesn't get sick of the taste and walk away again. But he hasn't so far. He seems to really enjoy Vita Gravy. He even ate dry food with the gravy on it!

Mickey went from 11 pounds in July to 14 now which is his standard weight. His ribs don't show yet he is by no means overweight. He seems healthier and has more energy and his eyes seem brighter. He's up for our walks and doesn't seem exhausted after (like I do).

Vita Gravy is a real life saver. I was starting to really worry when my dog would walk away from his food. I tried all kinds of different foods and nothing enticed him. He would lick a little and leave the rest. Now, he digs in. He doesn't always eat all of his food but he eats enough to keep him where he should be weight wise. His coat and skin even look better because Vita Gravy has essential oils in it for coat and skin health.

This product has 16 vitamins and minerals in it as well as antioxidants. But the real winner must be the flavor because that's what my dog cares about. I will say all the flavors smell good enough for me to eat!

I pay around $4.00 for a bottle or pouch. 11 ounces will give my dog 22 meals with a tablespoon of gravy on them. Now that Mickey is at his ideal weight, I can scale back and skip a few days so a pouch or bottle lasts about a month.

There is NO price I can put on my dog's health and I don't think $4.00 or $5.00 a month for my dog to be at a healthy weight, feel better, have a healthy coat, better skin, and more energy is too much too pay. I'd pay much more for those results.

My Viewpoint

I can't say enough good things about Health Pro Nutrition Vita Gravy for Dogs Food Topper. It's easy to find at pet stores and may even be at places like WalMart. (I never looked there.) It is healthy for my dog and doesn't have a lot of crazy chemicals in it. And it has given my old, frail dog back his strength. It's so great to see him running alongside me again rather than lagging behind, out of energy and ready to take a nap. Now, it's me who slows down and takes the naps while he's raring to go. Where's MY Vita Gravy? 5 stars. More I could give it more.
