My husband has been on medicare for at least four years after threeyears of being on Medicaid. He was severely injured at age 56 and continues to be disabled. During the change to medicare(primary)/medicaid we had no difficulties in having any of his medications paid for and I interviewed several different medicare providers before choosing one that would cover the majority of his medication costs with medicaid  covering the rest.
