Health Care Medicare —
My husband just joined the CareMore Medical program two months ago. He belonged to AARP Secure Horizons the year before. Caremore has done more for him in the last two months than Secure Horizons did for him in the last year. We are really happy with the complete program. They really seem to care more than the other Medicare programs that are out there. Our representative followed through on requests immediately. My husband was sent for a medical evaluation within a month of joining. Before he went to the first appointmnet, they called on the telephone to see if thee was anything that he needed. His Primary Care Doctor is very close to where we live. He is allowed $25.00 of free vitamins each month. They give an allowance for batteries for those who have hearning aids. They also have many programs that we haven't had time to look into yet, such as dietician services, diabetic center, physical therapy and gym services. All of this for no co-pays at all, with the only exception, of going to the emergency room, instead of your doctor. There is also no co-pay for generic drugs. We were not sure that we would like any HMO, after dealing with Secure Horizons, but we are more than pleased with CareMore. If you aren't happy with your current plan, give CareMore a try!
