I have suffered from migraine headaches for several years now. I usually get a headache if my sleep pattern is disrupted, too much or too little caffiene, and during my menstrual period. While headaches aren't really the worst possible health problem, the constant dull pain can really be debilitating sometimes. I take a daily prescription medication for migraines, and have a separate prescription to take when I feel a headach coming on. I actually tried this product out of desperation. Sometimes, when you are out during the day, you cannot afford to go home and sleep off a headache. This product works so well. It provides a tingling feeling (similar to menthol) on your forehead where applied. It helps to distract from the pain of headache. I love that it is something i can do for a headache without popping more ibuprophen, tylenol, or excedrin, since I worry about it affecting my stomach. I recommend it to all my friends!

Perhaps I am not as lucky as the other reviewers but I didn't notice any effects after using this product. I have better luck with a bag of frozen peas. I truly wanted and hoped this product would offer relief since I suffer from migraines a few times a month. The product does make my forehead tingle. It also made my hair sticky. I can say the product is odorless and has a great waxy consistency almost like a large tube of chapstick. It is easy to apply and does offer a tingling sensation to the forehead. As for any headache/pain relief, I found it offered none. I don't want to rule this product out for others and understand all headaches and headache sufferers are different so I recommend you try this product at least once for yourself. I know if it had worked for me, it would be a great product since it is very portable and easy to apply. However, be prepared with other back up forms of relief in case this product fails you as well. For me, I will stick with my frozen peas before using this product again.

when i first used head on i was surprised that it made my fore head tingle and feel cooler almost right away. it didn't feel right at first but i applied head on to my temples as well as the forehead and i found the tingle to be very soothing. i almost distracts me from the headache by making my forehead tingle so strongly that i was surprised a topical balm could really affect me so strongly. at times head on helps a headache but if you're headache is really severe this product probably won't help. it will help a mild headache fade so if i catch it rtight awat it helps. head on goes on smoothly and doesn't feel greasy or heavy. it glides on like a giant chapstick. active ingrediants are: hydrastis canadensis (goldenseal) 0.08%, kali bichromicum (potassium bichromare)0.05%, and bryonia alba(white bryony) 0.04% it advises to ask a doctor befor giving this product to children under 12 years of age. very good advice as the tingle is so strong it might bother a small child. my daughter is 11 and she uses head on whenever she gets a headache because it distracts her from the pain and she'll be so into the tingle soon she relaxes.
