Head & Shoulders
Intensive Treatment

I was at Walgreens a few months ago and I needed to get some more Head & Shoulders shampoo for my dandruff problem. To my surprise, I noticed that Head & Shoulders had a new product out called Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment and it was in a blue bottle. The price is a little more than the regular Head & Shoulders shampoo. I bought one bottle just to try it.

About The Head & Shoulder Intensive Treatment~
It is described as Selenium Sulfide Dandruff and Seborrheic Dermatitis. Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment is for the toughest dandruff. It fights dandruff from the first wash with 2% selenium sulfide to help prevent itching, scaling, irritation, and redness associated with dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. This shampoo keeps your hair clean and manageable. It is gentle and has pH balanced for everyday use even on permed or color-treated hair.

The ingredients in the Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment are Water, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Glycol Distearate, Cocamide MEA, Ammonium Xylenesulfonate, Fragrance, Dimethicone, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Hydrogen Peroxide, Sodium Chloride, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Sodium Citrate, and Red 4.

You can buy Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment at Walgreens and Wal-Mart. The shampoo comes in a 14.2 oz bottle.

My Viewpoint
What I noticed right of the bat was that the Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment was in a blue bottle. The Head & Shoulders bottles are usually white. I've had a dandruff problem from time to time. I've always used Head & Shoulders to fight this problem. The Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment shampoo is the best in the line of Head & Shoulders products. I use this shampoo at least twice a week.

The most shocking part of this shampoo is the bright orange liquid. The smell draws you in. At first, I was expecting a white or maybe a blue liquid. After using Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment the first time, my hair felt softer. Not only that, my hair has more volume. I noticed a slight decrease of dandruff the first time. Since day one, my hair has become easier to manage. I can brush my hair with ease, and put it up quicker than before. The amount of dandruff I have now is equal to hardly anything. I give it 5 stars!

I'm sorry this formula of H&S didn't work for you. You can try contacting Procter and Gamble. If you go to http://www.headandshoulders.com/en_US/contact_us/default.jsp, is one way to contact them.

Thank you for sending me a comment.

Hello! I love H&S Intensive Treatment. It works so much better than the regular H&S shampoos that I used to use. Thank you for reading my review and sending me a comment. Have a great day! ;-) ~Krista Lynn

Yes, this does do the trick. Occasionally, I use a deep-cleaning shampoo first to remove build-up. Then, H&S seems to work even better. I'm so happy not to itch!

I keep H&S on hand in the winter, too! I'm amazed how many different formulas H&S has out now. Thanks for reading and sending me a comment. ;-) ~Krista Lynn

I have to keep the H&S on hand, especially during the winter. I like that they're making different formulas to address different hair and scalp needs.

I wasn't expecting this H&S to be orange shampoo. It sure does smell good. Thank you for reading and sending me a comment. :-)

Whoa! Orange shampoo- good to know. This sounds like something I should have on hand when my son comes home for Christmas break.

H&S Intensive Treatment gets rid of my dandruff almost on the first wash. I don't have a extreme case of it, but in the winter it seems to flair up. Thanks for reading and sending me a comment! ;-) ~Krista Lynn

Good review. I don't suffer from dandruff but in the winter time I get dry scalp around the brow. Sometimes I will use Scalpicin because I itch myself to death. There was also a H&S for Dry Scalp that came in a greenish/teal bottle but I preferred Selsun Blue over the H&S. I keep a bottle of dandruff shampoo in my linen closet for those extremely dry skin days when I need some relief from the itchies. Good review ;+) Gigi
