The shampoo worked fine to remove and control dandruff. The only downside that I found is due to my hair being baby fine (i.e. very thin) and being very oily, though the shampoo did it's job, it only lasted 24 hours at best. Not bad but not great at controlling the oily/grease in my hair, at least for anything more then 24 hours.

Yuck! Usually I am a huge fan of the Head & Shoulders line of products, since they are one of the few things that can bring me relief when my scalp is suffering from very cold weather. I thought that this Green Apple variety might be a fun change-up from my old standby favorite, Classic Clean, and that the scent might add some nice variety to my usual mix. Absolutely not! I smelled like a Jolly Rancher all day long! It had such an overwhelming scent when I opened it, but I had such high hopes that the fragrance would somehow dissipate during the day. It did not. I had several people comment on the strong candy apple smell coming from my head, and not in a very complimentary way. Steer clear of this unless you actually WANT to smell like a cheap piece of candy, in which case help yourself and enjoy. Effectiveness It worked just fine and took care of my dry scalp. Scent It was so gross. I couldn't stand it.

I had not tried Head n Shoulders products in a very long time, until I visited my cousin... She walked by me and I got a smell of her hair and I asked what kind of shampoo she used.... TADA!! Green Apple Head n Shoulders... I bought some for my own house and of course used it on my hair first... I'd never suffered from dandruff or dry scalp until a year ago... It was AMAZING! My hair felt super soft and light! Not weighed down at all. Even my hairdresser is perplexed at the fact that my hair gets horribly oily very fast, but yet I've been getting dandruff... My hair does not get oily as fast, looks nice and clean and full of body all day with Head n Shoulders Green Apple! I then tried it on my daughters hair that is drier than mine.. Amazing ! Her hair still smelled fresh after playing all day! Hubby has this very course hair type and has always had dry flaky scalp.. He was hesitant to use it because if the scent (girly) but after he tried it... My entire family was own over by the results! The scent is NOT GIRLY by the way... Just a wonderful, fresh, clean scent that lasts all day!

I had semi-bad flakey scalp for a long time to no avail - I tried many different remedies, from pouring astringent on my scalp prior to shampooing, etc. Head and Shoulders was the only thing that worked for me and the green apple scent is so yummy, which counts a lot for me, as an 18 year old girl. Getting rid of my nasty dry scalp has boosted my confidence! Scent So yummy!

I gave Len the 2 samples that Head & Shoulders sent me. They were both Green Apple fragrance, and one was the shampoo and the other the matching conditioner. He has dark hair, and if he doesn't use a dandruff shampoo, can get flaking on his clothing. So he cut across the top of the 0.34 fluid ounce (10 ml.) sachet, and out came the palest green shampoo. It had a delicate smell to it, but wasn't sure that it was 'apple'. Len's hair lathered well, and there was enough to do a man's head twice. It would have barely done my long hair once. He used a cheap conditioner on his hair, just to see how good the shampoo really was. His hair looked clean, and shiny. It states on the packaging that it has 7 benefits: Fights dryness. Calms itching. Relieves irritation. Reduces redness. Controls oiliness. Controls flakes, and Great Hair. Len agreed with Head & Shoulders and really liked this shampoo. Effectiveness No flaking. Scent Light fragrance.
