My wife and I were married in Hawaii in 2005 and this is where we spent our Honeymoon. As hotels go I rate this the best I have ever stayed in and the service was next to none.

The View

We had an incredible view of the beach from our room as well as the mountains. Let me tell you how great the view was. The lights of Honolulu at night are fantastic, you can see for miles and miles. The sunset our first night was the prettiest one I have ever seen, all purple and yellow with shades of orange. The breeze from the ocean was fantastic and the sea air just added to the romantic feeling of the sunset. During the day you could watch the ships go by, the people on the beach or just watch the white clouds floating by.

The Staff

What an incredible attitude by all the staff members, they were just amazing. Knowing we were newlyweds they made sure we had everything we needed. From directions to nearby places to visit, to suggesting places to eat for our choice of food. They literally catered to us as if we were royalty.

The Room

Large and clean rooms with an over-sized bathroom, complete with tub and shower. The king-size bed was more than comfortable and the large windows negated the need for air conditioning. We were there at the beginning of June and it was in the 80's our entire week there. Surprisingly it only rained for an hour on our second day there, so the window stayed open the whole time. All the comforts of home, a desk, a table and chairs and a softly painted room just added to the experience.

The restaurant

We had a choice from a buffet or menu, we opted for the menu. Our waiter asked us what we liked and made suggestions from there. I had the house specialty T-bone and Lobster. My wife had the Maui-Maui plus shrimp on the side. The waiter suggested a mango martini as a good drink to compliment our dinner(neither of us are wine drinkers) Now I am not a martini fan, but it was fantastic. The food cooked to perfection and candles on the table added to a very nice dinner.

Within walking distance

We had shopping at the mall less than a 10 minute walk one way, the beach across the bridge by the marina the other. Even a nice little park adjacent to the hotel. We opted for a little longer walk in search of my wife's favorite dessert cheesecake. About a 30 minute walk away we found The Cheesecake Factory! Now I had always heard about the cheesecake they serve, but OMG have you ever seen the menu? Needless to say once we did we had lunch first. The menu is fantastic with every thing from appetizers to t-bone steak. I made sure to thank the desk clerk for giving us the directions to get there.

The bottom line

If you are going to Honolulu Hawaii this is the place to stay, not just for the luxurious rooms either. The staff there is first rate, friendly and eager to please. The pool is on the 5th floor and has a whirlpool right next to it. The view from the pool area is very nice as well. We spent our whole honeymoon in luxury and catered too by an exceptional staff. We plan on spending our 5th anniversary there as well. I can't wait to get back there!!

You will Love it, they also have a gift shop in the lobby and the prices aren't too bad either.

Wow, sounds like a dream hotel! I was drooling over the steak and lobster dinner. And with my favorite restaurant down the road... I'm going to keep this hotel in mind when we do a trip to Hawaii.
