The Hasbro Star Wars Action Figures are praised for their paint job and how well they look. They are not recommended for kids though. What our reviewers found is that these toys are never meant to come out of their packages. The limbs and accessories fall off easily. "These toys are definitely made for collectors who never take the toys out of their packaging," said astrologypath. Gfeness agreed saying, " I would love these much more if they were designed more for kids." The bottom line is Hasbro has put out a nice new line of Star Wars action figures, but they are recommended for collectors rather than as toys for kids.

Both of the current 4" figure lines are great. The basic assortments are bringing back great past figures for a chance to pick up some that may have been missed the first time around. Really made for collectors, not children to play with

I was really impressed with the gorgeous sculpt and paint on Hasbro's Star Wars action figures so I bought almost every character in the collection. However, when I gave them to my friend's kids and got the figures out of their packaging (which was a complete hassle), I was very disappointed to discover... review »

I am a huge Star Wars Fan and I love to collect the figures and toys from the series. I have a few kenner toys around the house but I love the Hasbro ones. They do a great job making the figures look like the actors who play them. Now I do play with the figures as well and they are durable. I'm sure that a child playing with them will be able to keep them in one piece. They usualy do have small pieces that young children could swallow so you'll have to check the age specifications on the packages. I think my favorite figure is Luke Skywalker from The Empire Strikes Back where he has the bionic...

Fun to play with- if they ever take it out of the package!

I would love these MUCH more if they were designed more for KIDS.  Too much of this collection targets older collectors with cash who are NEVER going to take them out of the packaging and have a "gotta get them all" mentality.  There's too much plastic, too much emphasis on the display of the figure instead of just keeping it safe until a delighted kid can rip it open and play with it.  I like the quality they put into the painting and all that but I wish they focused more on its playability.  Too often the sales people act like it's a crime to talk about opening and playing with these figures... review »

These are great.  My 8 year has recently gotten into the movies and now he wants the figurines.  Everytime he watches the movies he pulls out his guys and plays along with the movie.  The one thing I don't like is the small accessories like the light sabers.  They are hard to find until it is to late................... I wish there was a larger selection of these figures.  Of course he wants all the cool guys like Jar Jar which you can' t find in stores.  But there is good old reliable Ebay express.
