This game is great fun, however most children need a grown up to play with them! Pieces need to be put together just right for the game to work properly.  Also, the reason the game takes awhile to put together, is that is what the game is all about! Children love to watch the creation of the… read full review »

My son who was seven years old at the time, saw a commercial for the game Mouse Trap by Milton Bradley and of course, had to have it.  They make it look like so much fun on T.V. but they most certainly don't show the nine billion pieces that have to be put together before the fun… read full review »

I remember having real fun with the mousetrap game as a kid, and of course, I bought one for my kids.  Then I learned that this is one of those games that is great fun until the novelty wears off.   It isn't flexible and the maze can only be set up one way to work, so once kids have mastered the set up, they seem to lose interest and the game collects dust on the shelf.  Unless they are going to try to be Rube Goldberg and create their own crazy machine, they probably won't play this game more than a couple dozen times.  It really isn't very challenging.  It is… read full review »

We owned this game and it is a puzzle in itself to put together, We have only played maybe 3 times in ten years, sometimes by the time you get it all figured out ,Kids expect the parents to do it and I found this game to be a hassle. So parent beware what your getting yourself… read full review »

My 7 year old expressed an interest in this toy.  I had Mousetrap as a kid and from what I remember, it was fun.  So we purchased it and proceeded to play the game when we got home.  The premise is still fun but I, as an adult, had a hard time getting the game pieces to line up correctly.  My son continually got frustrated so we gave up.  — The game can work when all game pieces are set up in a very specific position.  However, for younger players this is hard to understand.  And if any one piece get bent, the game will no longer work. — If… read full review »

i hate living in the past, but somehow it always comes back. i loved playing mousetrap with my mom, dad, and brother. everytime setting up the game and playing the game was better than the previous time. so, i thought this would be a great christmas present for my at the time step son. mousetrap did not end my marriage. as my divorce would be my mousetrap experience was not an enjoyable time. it seemed so hard to set up and in the end we were missing a vital part to play the game. we send a letter to get the part and many weeks later it did come. we set it up, played once and it sat in… read full review »

This is a very fun and exciting game.  The downfall is sometimes we don't want to spend alot of time putting it together and we wind up playing something else.  My kids ages range from 3 years to 22 years, so when everyone is playing together it makes it easier for the younger ones.  I remember this game from childhood which brings back alot of memerories of my sisters and me playing.  It has a lot of small parts so you need to be careful not to lose any pieces or you ruin the game.  The different things going on make it really… read full review »

DO NOT BUY!!!  This game is hard for adults so you can imagine how hard it is for kids.  The pieces are very complicated to put together and they do not work the way they should.  Save your money and buy a more child friendly game.  I bought this game thinking it would be a fun game for family get togethers.  I figured the kids and the adults would love it.  Boy, was I wrong!  It was more of a headache than antyhing.  No it just sits in the closet collecting… read full review »

I had this game as a child so when my son received it for his 7th birthday I was as excited as he was. But unfortuantly I had forgotten just how difficult this game is. It is very difficult to put together. It does not stay together once you get it together. My son and his 9 year old sister have yet to figure out the true concept of the game. In my opinion this game is not worth the money. I say stick to good old fashion games like Operation and… read full review »

This is a fantastic game for kids eight and up (may be a bit complicated for younger kids).  I know one of the coolest things on cartoons like Tom & Jerry were the elaborate setups, where they drop a ball and it rolls down and hits something else, etc.  This game is just that, and it's a lot of fun.  Great for the whole family, even the younger ones, as long as there are older ones to help setup and help them play the game. … read full review »

This isn't as great a game as I remembered. The parts should be able to stand up to a child being able to manipulate the pieces and put the contraption together, but it didn't hold up in our house. I remember this game being fun, but we've only played it twice since we got it and that was over 2 years ago. I don't know what I saw in this game because it's really not much of a… read full review »

This game isn't what it use to be.  The pieces are very difficult to get to stay where they should which in turn makes the game very hard for children to make it go and do what is should.  My 2 children become easily bored with it after trying numerous times to catch the mice when they have to keep moving pieces back into their slots to make the balls go… read full review »

This was my favorite game as a kid. I bought it for my kids. They used to play with it all by themselves, just to put it together. I recall that there were a couple of springs, and we used to lose those all the time. I know it was a real pain picking up all the pieces. I will probably buy it for my grandson. It's an entertaining toy all by itself for one… read full review »

My son wanted this game so bad and could not wait to get it. When he got it he could not wait for us to put it together (because it took both of us to put it together and took forever) ( and for it just to fall apart again. We only played a half of a game. And it had just been sitting in the closet ever since. Save your money this game is a piece of… read full review »

This is a tough game to play if you are handicapped in engineering skills.  My son loves to play it with his dad (beacuse I cannot) but it requires patience and perseverance.  I have trouble with it falling apart so i just gave up.  I think my son's favorite feature is trapping the mouse at the end… read full review »
