My daughter has had a few Furbies. They were all awful. Very cute and creative and fun at first... however, they always ended up with gliches. They wouldn't work properly, and they would start talking at all hours of the day and night and the only way to shut them off was to remove the batteries. I would NEVER reccomemd that any parent buy this toy for their child. And I would not suggest that anyone give one to the child of someone they know... unless you want to really annoy them. The Furby is not worth the money, or the hassle.
