I enjoy playing games with the kids. Yes, they are young, but we try to find games we all can enjoy, and I purchased Hasbro Elefun - The Butterfly Catchin' Game thinking that it could be fun for the whole family. I was wrong, well sort of. . .
Hasbro Elefun - The Butterfly Catchin' Game was first of all easy to set up, but also a pain. The box says 1.5v batteries, but it doesn't say if they are AA or C. So of course I come home try to use AA and it needs C. So, here I am with two little girls jumping up and down in glee wanting to play and not understanding why mommy bought the wrong batteries even when I explained for the 153rd time why we can't play the game tonight.
The next day it's off to the store for C batteries and of course first thing when we get home, "Can we play now mommy, you have the right badderies!" Game is started and it seems a quick run through, but the girls are squealing in delight. Just like any new toys they want to play over and over again day after day after day. Well, ok, maybe it is fun I think.
After about 25 uses, even with careful care by mom such as turning it off when we set it back up etc, there are problems with the Hasbro Elefun - The Butterfly Catchin' Game that I just can't ignore:
