I do not like the holiday season because there are way too many toy commercials on television.  I guess next season I will just have to leave the TV off during November and December.  One day my daughter was watching cartoons and she saw a commercial for the Elephun game.  I had already heard of the game, but I had never bought it for her because I thought she would be too little to play.

Boy was I incorrect.  We went to the store and since we were working on her doing chores at home, she was good therfore we went to buy it.  I was distracted at the store and when I got home I realized that I needed four "C" batteries for the game, so we had to go back and pick them up.

Assembly was a bit too much for my liking.  I am a huge fan of simple games where you open the box and go.  You have to put together the nets, and assemble the elephant.  The worst part of it is that after the butterflies fly out, you have to take the trunk out each time they want to play again. My daughter being the type to play for hours, this becomes a lot of work.

The main problem with the Elephun game is that the butterflies have a hard time going all the way up the nose.  It needs a stronger blower motor.  It take awhile for the nose to get fully blown before they come up and shoot out.  Sometime you need to give the nose a little wiggle for them to keep coming.  This can become a pain.

Another thing that is a little bummer is that it should come with more butterflies.  They are made with tissue paper, and are small so you can easily lose or destroy them.  I give the Elephun game three stars.  It has a really great concept, but it is expensive at $19.99 and could use a stronger motor to keep the butterflies coming.
