At one point while my mom was in rehab a game like Connect Four would have been too hard for her to play! It happens to be my youngest daughter's favorite childhood game. She could never play it enough so I knew it well. When she was able to play we had a ball.

Just to note that www.amazon.com gives (http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-4430-Connect-Four/dp/B00000IWI1) the recommended age at 7 to 14. The manufacturer (Hasbro) recommends 7 to 99. Given our circumstances I have to go with Hasbro on this one!
The purpose of the game of to build a row of four checkers (one player has...
review »Hasbro Connect Four is one of our favorite family games. When I was younger and then with my now teenager children my family used to have Hasbro Connect Four challenges - the problem was my dad ALWAYS won! No wonder he loved this game, Trouble and Backgammon were his other favorites, all for the same reason.
Hasbro Connect Four is so easy to set up. You simply hook up the stand to the main piece and your are done. Each player takes turns trying to connect four of their red or black pieces in a row, which can be up, down, or diagonal. You do have to be careful that when the game is over...
review »Connect Four is one of those games that is not only easy to teach and learn, but can be fun for opponents of all ages. The concept is easy enough, where someone tries to score 4 in a row, either vertical, horizontal, or diagonal. The board, as we will call it, is a vertical standing game piece that measures 6 circles wide by 7 circles tall. At the top of the game are slots where a player drops a token down into it, and where it slides into place to begin game play. The tokens are split into reds and blacks, with each player taking a color, and alternating when they take a turn putting a...
review »I absolutely love this game. It's so simple to play, and it's a classic. And around the holidays, you will be able to find Connect 4 DIRT CHEAP! Just wait it out and it will go on sale for under $ 10.00.
Never played? Well, it's easy! Imagine the game checkers, played upright. That's kind of it. Two people play at a time. One person gets red checkers and the other gets black. Now, you take turns dropping one checker at a time into the slots. Whoever gets four in a row first, is the winner. You can get four in a row by placing them vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. ...
review »Hasbro Connect Four
Remember this one? Connect Four is one of the Hasbro games that I remembered playing as a child and enjoyed introducing to my own kids. The Connect Four game has the "stands up" yellow board frame with slots on the top and rows of holes on each side that you fill with and black and red tokens that look "checkers."
The object of Connect Four:
Two players play each other, each choosing to be either black or red. Players drop the tokens into the slots and attempt to get four in a row, whether horizontal, diagonal or vertical. Four in a row sounds easy but with your opponent...
review »I love Connect Four! I used to play it all the time when I was a kid and still play it today. It's very simple and easy to learn but also challenging in terms of thinking of a strategy.
This is a game for two people. One person has the black checkers and the other person has red. You take turns placing the checkers into the horizontal board, and the goal is simple: to line up four of your color checkers in a row.
This is a really fun game for little kids - I started playing it with my grandparents when I was as young as four or five and would want to play again and again. I still find it a...
review »Connect Four is a game I played when I was a kid, and I have to say that it is a definite classic that has stood up over time.
My 6 year old can be hard to keep interested, but as soon as we sat down to play this, he was Immediatley engaged in it. The strategy of it was a draw for him, and I enjoyed that it made him have to focus and think.
Still a wonderful classic.
