Hasbro Connect Four —

Hasbro Connect Four

Remember this one?  Connect Four is one of the Hasbro games that I remembered playing as a child and enjoyed introducing to my own kids.  The Connect Four game has the "stands up" yellow board frame with slots on the top and rows of holes on each side that you fill with and black and red tokens that look "checkers."

The object of Connect Four:

Two players play each other, each choosing to be either black or red.  Players drop the tokens into the slots and attempt to get four in a row, whether horizontal, diagonal or vertical.  Four in a row sounds easy but with your opponent working against you it can be challenging as well.

Hasbro Connect Four comes with:

-the classic yellow frame

-black tokens

-red tokens

-instructions

Connect Four Game is:

-easy to put together

-easy to learn to play

-doesn't take a long time to play or clean up

Hasbro Connect Four can teach:

-colors, counting, directions, patterns, strategy and patience!

Do yourself a favor and put two bags in the box, one for red tokens and one for black tokens so they are not having a free for all in the box or accidentally falling out of the box and ROLLING everywhere.

The box says that Connect Four is for kids ages 7 to 14.  Personally, I am thirty... something and I still love Connect Four.  On the other hand, both of my kids have been able to play Connect Four at age five.  Maybe they didn't have the best strategies but they got the concept and enjoyed the game and sometimes accidentally won.
