Some lowlife left a box with two one-day old kittens in my car last week.  Also in the box: Hartz Milk Replacement for Kittens, a couple of kitten bottles, and a dirty sock.  No, I am not making that up.  The bottle of powdered formula had already been opened and the bottles were filled with rancid formula.  I have no idea where the kittens came from, why they were separated from their mother, or why they were dumped in my car.  Did the person have difficulty in bottle feeding them?  Did they just not want to bother with them? Did they find them somewhere? I… read full review »

I work with an animal rescue group and was raising a litter of kittens. I bought some of this formula at Wal-Mart because it was the only brand they had and started to feed the kittens. After a week of feeding, one of the kittens was found paralyzed. An hour later, his brother was in the same condition. I took them both to my vet, kept them stimulated, kept them from drowning on their own saliva, and after six hours they snapped out of it and were just fine. My vet found out that it was the high protien in the formula that had done this; Hartz' formula has 38% while natural mother's milk has… read full review »
