Bought this product for use on my four adult cats who remain indoors. I didn't notice any less fleas, but what I didn't know is that one of the cats kept licking one of the other cats' collar. Within a month, he really got sick and died. The vet said he was probably poisoned by licking the collar. Very…

Last year, my parents' cat was infested with fleas. My mom and I picked up the Hartz 2 in 1 flea collar for cats because we know that Hartz has been around for a long time and had no reason to doubt its safety or efficacy. Within hours of applying the collar, the cat became lethargic, she lost her appetite, and her eyes became glassy. We called the vet, who recommended Frontline drops and a flea dip at the vet office. Unfortunately, the cat died before she had a chance to get into the vet's office - and she was still infested with fleas even while wearing the collar for two days. But we…

Please do not get these flea collars for your cat. They do not work, and they can also choke your cat if he/she is a climber like mine. If you don't have the money for flea treatments, try these... — Choose an absorbent collar for your pet, such as the widely available heavy-duty woven nylon collars. The collar will absorb essential oils, an no additional collar is needed. Essential oils that repel fleas and ticks include citronella, rosemary, and rose geranium. Buy only 100 percent pure essential oils, and using an eyedropper, put just one or two drops on the collar. Repeat each week.…

My 2 cats ended up severly infested with fleas so I went to the store and bought this product. A few days later one of my cats was dead. The other one couldn't move it's back legs. I immediately brought him to the vet, and a few weeks and over a thousand dollars later (including a blood transfusion from one of my sisters cats), my second cat was ok. I have an aunt who has one cat and has used this product with no problem. I think this product has the potential to be ok for some cats, but it can cause problems with others. I would suggest to never…

I got this collar for my cat because I ran out of Advantage and I figured if there was a cheap replacement that worked, I'd use it. It turns out my cat hates wearing collars, and even worse she started itching/scratching like crazy exactly where the collar was. It maybe reduced her fleas by half, but the point is to get rid of them completely. I got rid of the collar and continued to buy Advantage. I heard that these collars were not very safe, but the worst that happened to her was the skin irritation. But apparently, all flea medications pose health…

I love my pets... My fur babies and hartz tried to kill them with several of there products. I thought I could trust the brand name, I should have researched it, it has been 3 years and my cat is fine but he was lethargic and vicious after using their products: http://www.hartzvictims.org/index.php. It seems they have confused the objective, which was to kill or prevent fleas, but not by way of killing the pet its…

multiple cat owner, an animal lover, an animal rescuer, Despise fleas!!
The only thing this or any other flea collar does is make the fleas sick THEY DO"NT DIE!! And that is only if the flea crawls under the collar and gets a direct contact with it No flea collars will ever repell fleas now it might kill a young flea but will not kill an adult or the eggs!!!!It is better to spend the money for revolution or frontline these collars are worthless and a waste of time and money!!!!…

I have put this collar on my cat about a year ago and he started to act strange. Seemed like he was starting to have light breathing problems and he seemed like he was getting problems walking straight. I took the collar off and within a couple of hours he seemed fine again. It could just have been a coincedence and it wasn't the collar after all but better be save than…

My cats seam to think they need to patrol their territory. I like the fact that it is reflective at night. I also like being able to write my phone number on it. If they wander off or get in to Mischief some one can call me instead of calling the pound on them. —…
