The Case

Man, if I was pleased at the length of book four, book five, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, weighing in at 870 pages and holding the record of longest book in the series, almost sent me into a crazy-scary fit of happiness! I love Phoenix. It's tied with Azkaban as my fave of the entire Harry Potter saga!

The Plot (Spoiler-free!)

After the events of Harry's fourth year, he's on edge. Who wouldn't be? After a tense summer of waiting for news of the newly resurrected Voldemort, Harry is frustrated at the lack of contact he's had with the rest of the wizarding world, his friends...

Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix is a book that I will gladly read several times over the years.  I am not a kid and haven't been for a long time, but JK Rowling is able to invite me into Harry's world and not disappoint me.  I have followed Harry Potter since his first step into the world of magic and entrance in Hogwarts. This book is a continuing story of his growing and maturing into the great wizard we all know he would become.

I had heard from others that I would be sorely disappointed at the way it was written, but they were wrong.  The only disappointments were that a...

She did it again. This action packed is amazing. Harry is saddened by professor Dumbledore's sudden coldness. You know in your heart that he is just protecting Harry, but it still hurts. There is a new teacher, and boy is she evil. she out to destroy Hogwarts. Most people don't want to believe Harry that Voldemort is back. He finally has some believers who stand by his side like an army. It is amazing how they all stick together and Harry is their hero. Jealosy surrounds Harry as well as danger and crushes. A tragic death leaves Harry even more heartache. This is a must read.

This book kept me at the edge of my seat always new action happening. J.K did it again. With this book there was more happening then you could believe. I could not put it down. I read it in two days, while I was working part time at an office, full time mother of a 3 year old, and went to school on-line. My days were full but I just could not put the book down.

I loved this book.  It was by far my favorite of the series.  I thought that there was a perfect balance of adventure and humor.

I really enjoyed most of the Harry Potter series. This was one of my favorite books in the series. It opened up a lot of possibilities in the series, even if they weren't used later on. It brought out the conflict of the series, and was filled with action. I was sad when one of my favorite characters was killed but I could understand that it was needed to further the plot along.

One of the few things I didn't like was the relationship with Cho Chang. I felt that it didn't add to the plot and was really unnecessary.

Overall this book was very good and I recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the earlier...

I quite enjoyed the previous Harry Potter books and I usually finish a book within a few days to a week. However Order of the Pheonix took me over a month to finish it and not because it's thick. I found the story too dark and political. I came across a fanfic online which was more interesting than the original book. I haven't read the last book yet, however out of all the other books, this seems to be the most boring one so far.

I wasn't thrilled with the ending in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Some parts were thrilling and wondeful while others were a bit boring. (snore) Overall I enjoyed the book.
