It's been so hard to say goodbye to a character that has captured my heart and imagination for the last 5 years. I have to admit honestly, I bought the first 4 books and didn't read them until book 5 came out. I initially thought that it was going to be too childish but I got them anyway because I like collecting books. It took watching the 1st movie on Netflix to get me hooked - so during a week off from school, I sat down and read the first 5 from cover to cover non-stop. I was in love and upset and frustrated and lost in the world of Harry Potter, it was as if every time I read the pages, I was somehow transported into the book watching and hearing every thing from a distance. So the anticipation for the last book was overwhelming and when the time came to sit and read it, I made sure the phones were turned off, the lights were off and I had a box of tissues handy. The beginning of the book seemed to drag on a little long and my frustration grew because I thought JK was trying to be too descriptive and trying to tie up too many loose ends. And then just like that the trio were on their own and ready for the final confrontation. I tell you what I bawled like a 2 year old while reading about the many deaths in that Hogwarts showdown and it drove my adrenaline to get to the end...How would it end? He couldn't die..Harry couldn't die. I was happy it was over but the epilogue could have been left out - kind of a anti-climatic ending ...should have just quit at Hogwarts. All in all, it was a great book and happy that things righted themselves in the world of muggles and wizards.
