Not much to say about the Harry Potter books that haven't been said before, so I'll skip that.  I gave these CDs to my parents and they listen to them all the time.  It is incredible how the reader gives consistant and unique voices to all 100+ characters in these books.  While my mother has the books in print, my father is blind and the braille copies would take up too much room in his library to make it practicle.  These audio books allowed my father to participate in the Harry Potter mania & we were all able to listen as a family as JK Rowling spun her tales.  I… read full review »

 I am not much of a audio book listener because I prefer to read books to myself.  However, when I was introduced to the amazing narration of the Harry Potter series, I was awestruck.  I have never heard such precise pronunciation and unabridged version of the books.  I became addicted to the audio books and the Harry Potter series.  The storylines are obviously interesting.  The kids can listen to them when traveling for hours and I enjoy them at the same time.  Totally recommend them to anyone who is hesitant about the lackluster atmosphere of driving for… read full review »

Harry Potter, as many people have found out, is an addicitvely entertaining series. I love having them on CD because then I can listen to them in the car, and no matter how many times I hear them, they still make for the best roadtrips, and the most pleasent passage of time when you are driving alone. Jim Dale is such a talented reader, he really makes the storys come alive with thisvoice talent. The story is complex and fun to listen to. I would say this is a must have for any audio book… read full review »
