The moment I plugged in these speakers and played a song off my computer, I was blown away by the quality of sound. The Harman Kardon Soundsticks III 2.1 Channel Multimedia Sound System Speaker System are the best speakers I have ever owned. The sub-woofer provides a deep bass that seeps into my ears so comfortably. The speakers have a crisp and clean sound without any static. I am also in love with the design. Such a simplistic and beautiful design that will look good on any desk. The rubber ring on the bottom prevents the speakers from sliding around. The only problem I have with this speaker system is the design of the sub-woofer. While gorgeous, the hole on top is not very practical as it is easy to get dust and other particles trapped inside. Cleaning it would require taking the sub-woofer apart. Overall this speaker system is truly amazing and worth every penny. Battery Life Does not use a battery.

I've had my fair share of speakers, I'm no audiophile, but I frequently watch TV, movies and listen to music. Beyond that, I'm also a big fan of the mid-century modern look and prefer that my purchases reflect a appreciation for design. That said, I found the Soundsticks III to fill both the need for quality sound and quality design. The speakers are a simple, smooth, translucent plastic and rest on a simple rubber black ring. The speakers blur are subtle, but draw attention in their simplicity. They produce a crystal clear sound that disperses well. The speakers integrate sound well enough that you cannot easily localize the sound. Instead of merely sounding like a left and right speaker, the sound feels as if it surround you. They highs are clear as glass and the lows produced by the subwoofer are booming, but not overwhelming. Speaking of the subwoofer, it is a thing of beauty. It has a soft white light that gives it a nice soft glow. It's soft round edges make you want to put it on display instead of hide it in a corner. It produces a nice boomy sound. I actually had to turn it down a bit as it is incredibly powerful. For the price I think the speakers are a great deal, but there are a few drawbacks. First, the black rubber stands gather dust quite easily. Since it is a soft rubber, it holds and doesn't wipe off easily. I found myself having to get a damp cloth to actually wipe it down instead of a dry rag. Secondly, the right speaker also has touch sensitive volume pads. Since they are touch sensitive I found the tactile response to be lacking. Sometimes it's hard to know if you actually pressed the button or not. Overall I think it's a beautiful set of speakers. They sound great and look great. What more can you ask for?
