Good receiver for common man

a gadget geek, value conscious, willing to pay for quality, addicted to HDTV, New to HD, Every day computer user

Purchased this with my new home theater system. Very happy with the receiver. Had problems with a "PROTECT" message showing up, but I just had a speaker wire hooked up wrong. Need to know something about setting it up a home theater system or else you should have it installed. Easy enough to install if you have worked with this stuff before.

I really like the upconvert feature for our older technology. It makes the older game systems look "okay" on the 61" DLP.

I would recommed this to friends and family.
