Harley-Davidson Men's Legendary Eagle Leather Jacket

This is my first motorcycle jacket since I reentered the motorcycle madness phase of my life. I bought this Legendary Eagle leather jacket at the Harley-Davidson dealer where I bought my bike.

I was impressed with the knowledge of the sales staff who helped me suit up and paid special attention to the fit. The lady pointed out several details that I would probably have missed and I felt the customer service was just fantastic. The jacket is 100% leather and is superbly detailed and strongly made.

The leather is a middle weight, meaning it is not for bitterly cold weather, but will do in the moderate cold to fairly warm weather, that is about 9 months out of the year that is not extremely cold or extremely hot. Remember, when riding you are always experiencing wind chill so a person standing still may feel warm but at 55 MPH you are feeling a mite chilly, to say the least.

A leather jacket is also a part of motorcycle protective gear and the weight of the jacket gives you some protection from spills, and particularly abrasions. This Harley-Davidson jacket also has armor in the forearms which will give you some impact protection and there are special pockets in the shoulders and elbows of the jacket that will accept additional armored pads should you choose to add them.

As I mentioned, the jacket is medium weight leather with a collar that has snaps to hold it down but still look dashing. The jacket is lined with a cloth liner and has a zip out warmer liner, as well. The sleeves are tailored and zip up at the cuffs. The back of the jacket has one of the neatest features I've ever seen on a leather jacket. Instead of the knit cuff along the waist that such bomber jackets typically have, this has a cuff made of elasticized leather. I don't know how they do it but it is super cool and stretches when you do.

The jacket has two side pockets and two inside pockets, all zippered. All hardware on the jacket is marked with H-D logos. Whereever you look you see quality.

Now for the good part: The designs on the jacket are directly embroidered on the leather so though it looks like patches, the designs are sewn onto the jacket itself making an exceptionally clean appearance. The left breast has a graphic of the Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo surrounded by HARLEY-DAVIDSON and the back of the jacket has a large American eagle standing atop a H-D logo all of which is a combination of laser cut leather and embroidery in multi colors. Simply stunning graphics that will have your friends goggle-eyed with amazement and envy.

Yeah and the bad thing....I just found a leather jacket with a full color eagle on the back...I am debating on whether to order it or not . It also has "Live to Ride" on the back and also on the left breast pocket...looks sharp! ;)

I know what you are saying. You can get stung buying clothes online.

I would like to find either just an Eagle (color of course) or an Eagle and Flag. I have been looking but after a fiasco with a pair of gloves off of Ebay I am reluctant too order online for clothing. ;)

I need a biker jacket with a Schwinn logo on it...

My old leather doesn't seem to be getting a lot softer, so I may have to buy me a new one. Minus the H-D logo of course...lol ;)

Motorcycle jackets are back in full swing (not that they ever were out of swing in my book)! Great one G!
