Reviewers had fun at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago and gave it very good ratings. Reviewers say that the hip interior and “themed rooms” make the rooms at the Hard Rock Chicago “suitably funky”. When they’d had enough of David Bowie staring at you from the bathroom wall, our reviewers were able to shop Michigan Ave, walk to Millennium Park, the Art Institute and many more popular locations, which was a big plus. If you're like me, the words "Hard Rock" conjure about thoughts of childhood: Me begging my parents to get me a Hard Rock T-shirt from some random destination (usually Orlando). However, when it comes to lodging, Hard Rock definitely hits a home-run.

Although I live in Chicago, my husband and I like to experience local lodging options over weekend stays. We had the opportunity to stay at the Hard Rock hotel during its 'grand opening' weekend and then again several months later. I've been to Chicago several times but now that I work for a company in Chicago, I'm back and forth between Detroit and Chicago on a more frequent basis. And when I'm in town, my hotel of choice is the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago. I've stayed there 4 times now and am always very happy with the experience. They make me feel like a rock star.

The lobby of the hotel is very dark and very hip in shades of grey, chrome, and black. The check in area is completely covered in black vinyl that looks like snakeskin. The first time I stayed there I arrived on a Friday night and there were votive candles...

Hard Rock is a very modern place to stay. I agree that the rooms were a little small. Otherwise the hotel was supper nice and a very entertaining place to stay. I agree with earlier post that "when it comes to lodging, Hard Rock definitely hits a home-run."
