I was using Hard Candy since 1998, when you could only purchase it at department stores and the packaging said it was manufactured in Beverly Hills. The cases were heavier, they came with a sparkly silver little protective sleeve and the eye shadows were embossed with the name of their shades. Absolutely gorgeous. You'll notice (if you have collection of Hard Candy spanning certain years) that the products that were manufactured in Costa Mesa, or anywhere other than Beverly Hills, are of a lesser quality. Although I remember "Pixie" as one of the earlier maybe original palettes, I didn't get mine until later Costa Mesa products. I immediately noticed that makeup case was considerably lighter and the eye shadow colors were no longer embossed with their names. The colors were also less pigmented and not the same silky quality of former Hard Candy (and now current Urban Decay, former parent company of HC) products. I was so grateful they didn't do away with the mini angled brush! That said, the colors in the palette are still amazing and the quality, although not what it was, still isn't bad.

Hard Candy eyeshadow quartet in "Pixie" is so cute and so creative at the same time.  I love how cute the case is and the wonderful folks at Hard Candy choose perfectly coordinated colors that look wonderful alone but you also have endless options for adding them together to create unique and wonderful looks.  I like how they pair the colors with eachother, in general there are times I would not have used these exact colors together but they knew best at Hard Candy and they created a wonderful set of four colors here.  Hard Candy eyeshadow quartet in "Pixie" is a beautiful set of four eye shadow colors that are silky and apply to your eye lids seemingly without any effort at all.  They are also highly pigmented so the colors really last and last all day without needing to be touched up or reapplied at all.  I cannot say enough nice things about how this color combination will really make your eyes pop!

I personally think that Hard Candy make-up is a very good brand. It has a wide variety of colors and products. The colors in 'Pixie', as well as all of the other color pallets under the same brand name, all coordinate very nicely. But above all, the make-up itself is light and feels good on the skin, not greasy and heavy. They also have some very hard to get products such as colored mascara. the other brands of mascara come in the traditional browns and blacks, while the hard candy line comes in silver, gold, blues, purples, greens, and more. the majority of the  hard candy line caters to the more adventurous type of people, not the tame type. the majority of hard candy make up is also made in the united states, therefore supporting and boosting our own economy instead of giving it away to other countries. the brand is  most definitly by far the best line of make up i have ever used, no exceptions. in short, i would suggest you go out and buy some for your self if you don't believe me.
