Happy Beaks Rope Swing Boing Perch —

I own a 6 year old Eclectus parrot.  She is a very funny girl who has a large vocabulary, a good personality, and a healthy appreciation of her toys.  When I adopted her three years ago, she came to me with a giant boing perch and the information that she really loved hanging out on it.  Unfortunately, that boing didn't work for us because it was too long and low to the ground which allowed Scarlett to hop down onto the floor and torment the cats, puppies, and even sometimes the humans in the kitchen.  I picked up the Happy Beaks Medium Rope Swing Boing Perch a couple of years later at Bird Paradise in New Jersey.  It was much shorter and more tightly coiled so Scarlett could hang out on it without being tempted to jump down and cause havoc throughout the house.

I have this Happy Beaks Medium Boing hung from a hook in a corner of my kitchen.  Scarlett loves to run up and down the length of it, climb the spirals like a ladder, and even "dance" to get the whole thing bouncing up and down.  This perch is only about three or four feet long, so it is high enough to keep her from jumping down to the floor.  The coils are adjustable and I did have to stretch them out a bit so she could hang upside down comfortably.  I keep trying to tell her that she isn't a bat, but she still seems to spend most of her time upside down.

My Eclectus parrot gets a lot of enjoyment and exercise out of her Happy Beaks Boing.  I paid about $30 for it and consider that money well spent.  The thing is practically indestructible (as she isn't a big chewer) and can easily be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher when it is looking dirty.  If you have an active parrot, I suggest picking up one of these Rope Swing Boing Perches.  You will be very happy that you did!

If you have a video of Scarlett on it, you could send it to Funniest Home Videos.

as the title of the review implies, only Scarlett likes her boings. My macaw is petrified of them and my Timneh African Grey rips the rope apart like it is her mortal enemy.

Do your other birds use it also? Have you made any videos of Scarlett?

Thank you! Scarlett makes me laugh every day. She is the funniest little bird. I can't imagine my life without her.

We don't have any pets. It made me laugh picturing your bird's antics. I really enjoyed this review. Thanks.
