We ordered the subscription due to all the "free" tools they offered.  The magazine is ok, but not enough issues. We never did get any free tools to try.   Don't get tricked into trying all the free books they send.  They are expensive and you may not need what they sent.  I would recommend going to Home Depot and get a how to book there versus HandyMan.  Be ware of all the offers or you will be signed up for something without even realizing it.

A terrific magazine for the everyday guy. There are loads of ideas from storage to conservation to yard work. All projects are in an easy to understand format and most can be completed by a novice.  We recently redid our garage and used quite a few of the storage tips. We are absolutely amazed at how much more room there seems to be. Definately makes for good bathroom fodder.
