I've always liked this book--it gives some great ideas for folks who have made a few successful batches of Cold Process soap and are looking to experiment a little.
As with any soapmaking book, do watch for typos that become dangerous errors--many books have one, so if you encounter something in any book that sounds odd, do look in other books and on the Internet to verify the information.
That said, this book's a delicious walk thru the art of soapmaking, with gorgeous illustrations and step-by-step instructions on duplicating each formula in the book. I liked some of the ideas, but mostly the formulas in this one gave me ideas for taking the art to a little higher level.
Just remember that any recipe that uses lye, whether in this book or any other, should be run thru a reliable soap calculator before you begin making it. It's possible there's typos and errors that were missed in the proofreading, so double-check the lye amount yourself, every time you use a formula.

That's pretty tough to do--with the right instructions, anyone who can cook well is able to make soap. If you ever want advice on how to get going just PM me here.
