The Hampton Fitness Neo Hex Aerobic Dumbbell Set is the perfect light weight set for women (or men) who want a variety or light weights in a stackable rack. The weights are easy on the hands and the rack is very portable. An excellent buy too at under $30.00 at some outlets. (Search well for the best price).
Full View
I have lots of weights. I use them to boost workouts or alone to build muscle. I have owned the Hampton Fitness Neo Hex Aerobic Dumbbell Set for quite a while and I love it. The weights are perfect for booting my workouts and for a variety of strength exercises.
The Set
This set comes with a pair of 3, 5 and 8 pound weights. They are neoprene which is a soft, tacky substance that is easy on the hands and also nonslip. Each weight is clearly marked and sized so you never mix them up. The rack is light and compact. If you're starting out and want a set of lighter weights, I suggest this one.
My Experience
I have used my Hampton Fitness Neo Hex Aerobic Dumbbell Set more times than I can even count. The three pound weights are great for workouts that require light resistance like walking and other low weight work. The five and eight pound weights are good for arm and chest work. I like that these are so easy on my hands. I have other weights that I have to wear gloves with because they scratch and cut into my hands but these have a soft cushy feel that doesn't hurt at all. I also love that these are nonslip. You can get a great grip on these and they don't get slippery if your hands sweat. Lastly, they are designed to fit comfortably in your hand. Some have such thin cores that my nails dig into my palms when I hold them. Not so with the Hampton Fitness Neo Hex Aerobic Dumbbell Set. I have owned this set for a long time but it is like new. The rack helps me to keep them in one place unlike everything else I own and they are very durable. This is one buy that even my husband can't grumble about. He thinks the set is one of the very few pieces of exercise equipment I have bought that is truly useful, durable, and worth the money I paid. And he's a tough sell!
My Viewpoint
I highly recommend the Hampton Fitness Neo Hex Aerobic Dumbbell Set to anyone starting out or who wants a set of light weights. I have heavier ones for heavier workouts but five and eight pounds are good weights for many women who want to sculpt their arms. You don't need super heavy weights to get toned arms. You just need to work at it and do a lot of reps. These weights will build your strength and will boost any workout. I love my set and definitely recommend it to you. 5 stars.
I wrote a review here on a new gadget I bought called Smart Arms and I believe, for about the same cost, this set is 10 times better and more effective. You can read my Smart Arms review at this URL: http://tinyurl.com/2pmbnv
