This is a great blender for everyday kitchen use in the family kitchen. Blending Power This blender works better than any other I have had (this is the 5th blender I have had over the course of 40+ years). Versatility Blends, chops, grates...does it all! Ease of Cleaning I have learned the best way to clean this unit is to clean it as soon as you are done with it. Often I will fill it with warm water and a tiny bit of dish soap and run it for a few seconds. That works very well on the stickier messes. Mine has a glass top, and it does not stain like the plastic ones often do. Ease of Use This is very easy to use. My kids use it daily to make smoothies. The buttons are large and clearly labeled and easily read. My husband uses it often as well on nights he cooks. I also used it some during canning season and it held its weight. Design This is designed to take up little counter space. This is important to me, as we use it so often that it is always on the counter, and never stored away. It is also an attractive piece to look at, and blends in well with any kitchen décor. Durability This is a tough blender. Sometimes ours is used 5-6 times a day, and we have never had an issue with it.

When I first purchased this product I loved it. I made my smoothies every day with it. It blended them perfect, and I would use bananas, stat fruit, kiwi, figs, flaxseeds, ice and a few other items. I made them for two people. Filled it made just enough for 2 large ( 20oz) cups. But, one time I put a little two much ice in it and it blew the blender out. It started to smoke and was ruined. Although it's a good product, I wouldn't recommend it if you need to make more than one smoothie and like a decent amount of ice. It just isn't powerful enough. As for blending one or two or even three foods, it's a good product to go with if you don't want to spend a lot of money. Ease of Cleaning It comes completely apart so cleaning it wasn't a problem. Ease of Use It isn't hard to use at all. It's very basic. Although I would recommend cutting your foods into pieces if you are blending more than three at once. By doing that, you are probably less likely to blow the motor. Durability Since mine only lasted 2 weeks of everyday use, I had to give a three here. But, I think it would have lasted if I knew from the start to put less in it. I did not overfill it either. The combo of ice and fruits was just to much. But, I did not cut the fruit up.

My Hamilton Beach Blender is the best blender I have ever had in my life.  It does the exact job I need it to do every single time.  I've never had a problem with it.  It can blend ice, chocolate bars, chickpeas, really everything you could ever want!  I am so blown away by its performance I always recommend it to everyone who talks about needing a new blender  :) I am so thankful that we received this as a wedding gift.  I hope it continues to work this well for a very long time.  Even if it punks out, I will be buying another just like it!!

I really like this blender.  I haven't had any problems with it and have had it for about 2 and a half years now.  I use it quite a bit and chop lots of hard things with it and the blade has stayed sharp for me.  It is a pretty loud blender, but I'm okay with that becuase it is so good at chopping things up.  I haven't had any problems with it chopping ice or nuts, though.  The blender is really powerful and can make quite a mess if you're not really careful with it.  I have also had problems of food getting in the gasket and making a screw in the bottom of the blade rust.  So I would suggest cleaning it out really well and making sure all the metal parts are dry before storing any of them.  I hope that in the future the blades and screws will all be galvanized so that doesn't happen.  I would definitely reccomend this blender to anyone needing a blender that will chop up anything.  It's been really great!

This blender is just fair. It is not effective in chopping nuts. It also clogs when you are mixing cream cheese cake mixture or other dips that you wish to make. The motor is not that powerful. It really is a basic blender that you constantly have to stop and stir.

We got this blender for a wedding present almost 3 years ago. I only know the price because I actually bought the same exact blender for my sister that same year for Christmas! It is an inexpensive blender that will last a while. However, I do not use my blender than twice a month so I'm not sure if this blender is built for heavy use. I love that all parts of the blender can go in the dishwasher, making for easy clean up. This blender is not a fast blender. In order to get smooth results, you need to blend much longer than you originally think. It also has some problems with ice; I have made smoothies, frozen cocktails, etc and most of the time it cannot get all of the ice chopped. There are normally small chunks of ice left in the drink. This blender has many settings on the front, too many in my opinion. I have tried the different settings and have seen no difference instead of the high and low settings. The difference between "icy drink" and "puree" is minimally if at all existent.  The blender does a good job for the price but if you use your blender frequently or want professional results, I would look elsewhere.

I purchased this blender for the kids to make smoothies and little small simple drinks. This is the most horrible product ever. The thing smells when you are using it like burnt rubber or something. The ice cubes do not crush as they should and I would not purchase another one of these. The kids were really disappointed becausre they were in the middle of making smoothies when the thing started smoking and just quit working all together. I guess the saying that...you get what you pay for is correct! The product packaging came with the instruction booklet and recipe guides as well and just didn't live up to it's manufacturer's name. I haven't purchased a blender since then because of the experience I have gotten with this one, now we just go out and buy smoothies and the little simple drinks that we thought we could make at home. I would not recommend this product to anyone, hopefully I will get the courage to go out and purchase another brand and get a better outcome.

This nice blender was great in mixing up all kinds of things.  My only complaint was it struggled a bit with lots of ice or frozen fruit, but that may be true of all blenders.  After adding enough liquid it did great in making all kinds of frozen delights.  There are lots of buttons to choose from so there are different speeds for different needs.  I purchased the white one which has a tendency to show dirt and grease a bit more, but it cleans up pretty well.  I guess if I want smoothies or anything requiring crushed ice, I will need to get a bit more powerful blender but for the most part this can handle most jobs.  The parts are able to go into the dishwasher which makes easy to clean.  The secret is to rinse it out right away so things don't dry inside.  The price was right for what this little unit can do so overall we are happy with this blender.

My sweet husband gave me the Hamilton Beach Blender 52655 with the wave action.  This is absolutely the worst kitchen applicance I have ever owned.  I only used it 3 times before it broke around the seal at the bottom and leaked out all over the counter.  I threw the pitcher out already.  The model I was given had a food processor attachment also.   I have to wear earplugs while running it just to be able to stand the noise.  Please please do not waste your money on this applicance.

Some would think a "blender" is a "blender".  Their reasoning is that any blender will blend your food & do the job....not so.   I've had some that left clumps of food, others were so noisy that I didn't want to use them & others were so slow that I just stood there waiting.  But, this Hamilton Beach Wave is different.  Notice the word "Wave"....that's what it does.  It's like a big wave taking your food & tossing it about evenly.  It truly does blend whatever you put in, is very fast & quick & easy to clean.  The way I understand the principal of it is that this "wave" action swirls in a different manner, takes the food from the bottom, brings it to the top & back to the bottom again.   With it's power, it does this so fast that your smoothie, or whatever you're blending is done in no time.  And, you won't find clumps through out.  Also, on the plus side is that it's a quiet little machine & won't wake up the household or send your puppy into hiding.
