I have really come to love and appreciate the Hamilton Beach True Air Order Eliminator with Night Light. The main reason is because I am a smoker an my husband is not. I often smoke on our deck which is enclosed and has the habit of enclosing scents in. The Odor Eliminating Night Light doesn't work entirely for cigarette smoke. It definitely makes a major impact that is very noticeable when it comes to cigarette smoke. In my opinion though, it does not have the ability to eliminate it completely. It definitely has it's benefits in other areas though. For instance, I have one in my bathroom and it works amazingly well. It doesn't have an extreme or overwhelming scent but, gives off enough scent to notice an airy difference. The overall odor eliminating air filtration is what is most effective and innovative. I love the Night Light feature because it eliminates 2 issues at once. It has a built in scent cartridge and there are refill cartridges that are available to suit individual needs - like for pet odors or cigarette smoke. Mine has lasted quite some time and I love that I can switch up scents when I want a change every once in a while. It kind of makes me feel like I've got something new with every scent I switch between. Ease of Maintenance Simply purchase refill cartridges in your preferred scent.

When I saw these Hamilton Beach True Air Odor Eliminator with Night Lights on sale I snapped up several of them thinking they would be perfect to put in the bathrooms and kitchen. The size is great. It doesn't block the other outlet so you can use it to plug other things in. A three pronged plug can be a bit of a squeeze, but it's not impossible. A two pronged plug works the best. As a nightlight it's actually quite nice, sending off a dim, pleasant light that is not overpowering at night. It's just bright enough to see your way without being too bright and blinding. As an air purifier and odor eliminator I have to say that I didn't actually notice any difference while using them. It didn't eliminate cooking smells in the kitchen. Onion, tomato, and meat smells still lingered long after cooking was over. It seemed to work at removing dust and other particles from the air. I noticed less dust in the bathroom on top of the cabinet and such. Overall, if you're looking for a real odor eliminator this is not it. It's okay as an air purifier and works well as a night light but is really too bulky to use long term unless it really does its job, which it doesn't really seem to.

I loved the nite light feature but the down fall is that in a small bedroom it can seem to bright. When I can in the room that it was in the room always smelled fresh. We did have to clean it about every two weeks or so to get rid of the build up on it. I also like that the filters will last awhile before they need to be changed.

Easy-to-replace filter lasts up to 120 days My Review: I bought this for the baby's room to eliminate that stinky diaper smell.  Both the unit and the replacement filters are quite inexpensive.  It serves its purpose very well, as it removes the bad odor in about 15-20 minutes (in a 12x12 room).  I like that I can turn off the unit once it does its job, and turn it back on again only when I need it.  I also like how you can plug it into the bottom outlet and it doesn't cover up the top outlet at all.  What I like most about it is that it is a non-toxic way to eliminate odors.         Ease of Maintenance (updated: 2/8/2012) super easy to maintain! the filter replacement indicator tells you when you need to replace the filter (which lasts quite a while!). Dust/Allergen Removal (updated: 2/8/2012) it's NOT for dust/allergen removal. it's an odor eliminator and works very well at that.
