Hamilton Beach Toaster - Toastation Reviews

I made this purchase rather hastily based on two factors; 1. we needed a new toaster since ours burned out, and 2. this model was on sale.

What a pleasant surprise. The crumb tray comes out easily and is very easy to clean. That was my biggest complaint with our last toaster oven -- it always looked dirty.

This one has a unique feature, in that it has a conventional pop-up toaster on top and the oven part on the bottom. It converts from one to the other by pulling a lever to the side to close or open the toaster opening on the top.

I just recently purchased a Hamilton Beach Toaster - Toaststation. It is so cool. First of all mine is red and has a classic, retro look to it. What I really like about the Hamilton Beach Toaster - Toaststation is that the top part is a toaster and then in the middle is a toaster oven. One, it saves space so that you don't need both items on your cabinets. Two, the top has a slide to close it so bugs and dust don't get into your toaster. It comes with ajustable dials so you don't burn your toast. Also, it has a removable catch tray so you don't have burnt bread pieces in the bottom of the toaster....

I decided to try one of the Hamilton Beach Toastations because a four slot toaster and a toaster oven was just cluttering my countertops.  Turns out it was a great buy.  I really like that this is a dual purpose small appliance.  It works great as a toaster, holds two slices, and slide a lever and it is a toaster oven.  I have learned that because it is a little more compact than a standard toaster oven that you sometimes have to adjust the temperature and the cook times, or you will burn stuff.  I use mine just for toasting or rewarming leftovers vs. cooking frozen items.  I would not recommend...

I love having the Hamilton Beach Toastation. It fits great on my small apartment kitchen counter. It comes in several colors to match your other appliances which is great. It is fast at toasting and cooking. I have made several meals and side dishes to meals with this handy machine. The Hamilton Beach Toastation makes great hot dogs; up to seven Ball Park Franks to be exact. You can put a piece of buttered bread in the toastation with cheese and garlic on top and make fast and delicious homemade garlic bread.      I've had the Hamilton Beach Toastation for over a year and love using it. Unlike most toasters I've had, this can stay plugged in without burning my toast the next time I use it.

     The bread slot is wide enough to use with bagels and long enough to hold oversized bread slices from artisan loaves.

     Unlike some of the other reviewers, I've never had a problem with the oven. It heats quickly and has been really great for heating leftovers or whole sandwiches. I do recommend placing foil on the pan to help with clean up.

I purchased the Hamilton Beach Toaster Over - Toastastion about 5 months ago and it does not toast evenly. I would have to sit and watch it until toast was done because when it was done it would pop out of toaster onto floor unless i caught it in time.

Called Hamilton Beach and they told me to cut plug off and send it to them with check for $6.00 and they would send me another one.  I did that and did receive another toaster oven and still had the same problem with it.  It does not toast evenly.

And anytime you use the oven you have to sit and watch it for fear of fire.

The Hamilton Beach Toaststation does an OK job.It is more flexable than a typical toaster in that there is the option of using it like a slotted at the top toaster or as a front loading oven. The size and design make it larger than a toaster yet smaller than a toaster oven.This unit is not designed to cook with but to toast.It would be a misstake for someone to buy this device with the idea of cooking in it.

The Toaststation does a nice job on bread and muffins both using the slots on top and the oven in front.

The Toastation is a great product - here's a hint to get more even toasting, since we noticed this problem initially: CLOSE the top of the toaster when toasting - you can do this after you put your bread in by moving the lever from "Toaster" to "Oven" part-way (without it clicking all the way over to "Oven"). Works GREAT when you do this.

I love this item! I just got married about a three weeks ago and this is one item that was a must have for my kitchen! It two in one! It saves on room in the kicthen everyone is always talking about how they need more room in there kicthen then buy this you only need room for one. My friends and family think its great. It works great too!
