Our seven year old toaster oven broke and we were forced to replace it quickly.  We couldn't agree on what to buy - he wanted a toaster, she wanted an oven.  We weren't sure if a hybrid-type toaster oven existed, but if it didn't we were determined to create one.  Luckily we found this! The oven feature heated up much faster than our old one.  The tray is also larger than the old one - it fits two pizza slices comfortably (as opposed to overlapping). There is not too much to say about the toaster feature as it is pretty standard.  The only difficulty we've experienced is with mini waffles.  In the old toaster, they sat flat on the rack.  In this toaster, they stand up in the chamber, but because they are small, they sometimes get stuck. We've been using it for a few months now and have noticed that, at times, the oven just turns off.  In order to get it working again, we have to flick the Toaster/Oven switch.  It might be an anomoly to the one oven that we purchased, but it is something to be mindful of - we've come out expecting a hot meal and found cold food!  Nothing major, but definitely a nuisance.

This is our first toaster oven and we've had it just over a month.  IT IS AWESOME!  The fact that it converts (easily) from a pop up toaster to an oven is fantastic!  Here are things we've noticed:  1.  It cooks QUICKLY in the toaster oven.  It recommends a preheat time but it really does heat up in no time!  We have been so used to the oven that we felt spoiled by the rate at which it cooked our food. 2.  The toaster doesn't "pretend" to be toasting when it's unplugged.  Maybe that sounds silly, but our last toaster would actually drop the toast down and stick, as if it were toasting, but not this toaster!  It won't let the handle stay down unless it's plugged in. 3.  The counterspace:  if you're in the market for a toaster, and you want a toaster/oven combo, I can't imagine there is any way to save space better than this product.  It is really not much bigger than our old 4 slice toaster (it is slightly bigger), but other combos are significantly bigger.
