This is a great product especially for a single person who only has to cook for themselves or needs to prepare a small dish for a potluck or something similar. I really love crockpots! What I particularly love about this one is that the 4-quart is the perfect size for making a nice home cooked meal for myself and having leftovers and lunch for the next day. The second best thing about this slow cooker is that you can totally take it with you! Great for taking to potlucks, parties at work, picnics- you name it! Having to bring a dish is no longer a pain in the neck! This thing also cleans great! Overall it really cuts down both my cooking time and dish washing time! As far as it's cooking ability goes, I've never had any problems. I would say it's good, but not the best. It heats itself up in a decent time, and all of my dishes have come out great. It's not as advanced as a programmable cooker, but it works for me!

Don't waste your time with this product. Time to Heat I made beef stew for supper one day. I left it on high, went to work for 5 hours, came home and the meat was not even to 100 degrees. Needless to say the hubby was disapointed when he can out of being in the cold all day and had hot dogs for supper. I was really mad at the wasted food. I thought that it would be good for keeping dips or side dishes warm. FALSE. It couldn't keep hot beans warm. I cooked them and had the cooker warming up. It was warm I dump the beans in and leave it until company arrived. The beans were lukewarm at best. Cooking Performance What cooking preformance? It can't even keep things warm. Ease of Cleaning Sure its easy to clean. I don't cook anything in it anymore. I threw it out. Ease of Use simple to use Design I bought it because I loved the lid with a seal and the locking handles. This probably works great. Durability I don't know if it is durable.

Well, this little slow cooker (or crock pot, or what-have-you) is quite crock-potty. Sure, that sounds cheeky but this little guy does exactly what I expect it to do: slow cooks. It cooks things evenly and well. My favorite part is the little clippies that snap down to secure the lid to your crock pot so you can just pick up the whole thing and go to your pot-luck looking like the snazziest of all slow-cooking-sallies. Really though, this thing is pretty cool. Mine is black and it really looks pretty sharp there on the counter when I'm using it. I like that the lid has a nice rubber seal so when you secure the lid with the snaps it's supposed to make a nice seal so things don't slosh out all over your mini-van. Here's the problem though... the seal doesn't work properly if there's liquid. The lid slides around and doesn't form a proper seal when there's a lot of water on the lip of the crock so maybe wipe it down. I only found this out while playing around with it since I haven't taken the crock pot anywhere yet (no one invites me to pot-lucks... I'm a terrible cook, even when I do it slowly), so try wiping it down before sealing it with the clips. Other than that, the food gets good and hot on the high setting and the low setting works well for when you're at work and need to leave it on all day. Another nice feature is the "Keep Warm" setting so if you are lucky enough to have friends that invite you to potlucks, you can set it to "keep warm" and your Salsa and Queso dip doesn't reach molten lava temperature and scald your friend's faces off. You do want to go to more potlucks, right? Well, then you better get this crock pot with the keep warm setting. :)

After graduating college, my parents insisted that I would need a slow cooker. I started shopping for one and found my Hamilton Beach Stay-or-Go 4-Quart Slow Cooker. At the time, I simply bought it because I felt like it would keep my mom quiet and it was a decent price. However, this has been a great investment! It is just the right size for me to cook a meal, and make it simple to make food and have it ready when I get home from work! Also, it is so easy to clean up dinner afterward because it comes apart for cleaning. It is a heavy pot, so I would beware when lifting to get a good grip. If you're feeding a larger family or group, I would suggest a bigger size. However, I can make meals for myself and have leftovers with this size. It's size also makes it easy to take with me when I travel. I've taken it for potlucks at work and it has made life a lot easier!

I have always used a slow cooker, at various points in my life. I had a large one the majority of my adult life. I have four children, and they are two boys, and two girls. So, with the six of us, it was sure absolutely wonderful to have a crock pot. Some of my children have one by one, grown up, and move out. I thought that I wouldn't need a crock pot anymore. Well, I was wrong! I use it so much even still!. I now have the **Hamilton Beach Stay-or-Go 4-Quart Slow Cooker**. I absolutely love it! The 4-Quart is just right for me and my family now. I can still cook a large amount for us, or if needed, I can cook smaller amounts. It all works out great. I really love how I can take with me if I make something for my family reunions every so often. It cleans up real easy!

A couple of years ago, I asked for a slow cooker for Christmas. My brother and sister-in-law gifted me with a beautiful, huge, black and silver monstrosity with a timer and all these bells and whistles that took up about three feet of counter space and I could never figure out how to work. We nicknamed it "The Mother Ship" andI promptly donated it to my church (who makes ten quarts of anything???) and sent my long-suffering husband out for a regular crock pot. He gets big kudos for picking out the Hamilton Beach Stay-or-Go Slow Cooker! For my family, the four-quart size is just right for soup, chili, and stroganoff. I'm sure I am only scratching the surface of its cooking capabilities. The neat carrying case is a plus for church potlucks and such, although I admit I love it so much and use it so much it rarely leaves my kitchen counter. It's simple and easy to use, which is a good thing in my book. I have so many decisions to make every day that for me, "keep warm, low, and high" are plenty of choices. I have never burned anything in it yet. These are qualities that make the Hamilton Beach slow cooker one of my best friends in the kitchen.

I LOVE this crockpot!! It was a Christmas present from my aunt. I recently got a job and moved to a different city. I cooked a little bit in college, but with a full-time job, this slow cooker was the best gift I received! I love that this crockpot is so easy to clean with the removable insert. And, even better--it makes "one dish" meals, so the only dish I am cleaning up is the insert. This crockpot is inexpensive compared to others, but if you keep it clean, it will hold up well. It has different settings, so you have the option of cooking on high or on low, or just keeping your meal warm before your guests arrive. This is perfect for a birthday present, Christmas present, or wedding present.  It is an excellent idea for a first apartment. It is definitely worth the investment. As someone who lives by themselves, I really enjoy making large meals in my crockpot and saving the rest for meals later in the week. Enjoy!
