The Hamilton Beach Raclette Party Grill 31602 has been a great addition to my kitchen. We do a lot of entertaining from family get-togethers to card parties to dinner parties. We have found so many great recipes to use on the Raclette Party Grill. We have done the traditional type foods but also have some up with some new things to try. One of the best parts of this grill is that you can involve others in the cooking especially if you don't have a real large group. Meals can be tailor-made for each person's preference which is nice because we have a few friends who are vegetarians. As with most Hamilton Beach products, this is a heavy, well made, grill. It is easily cleaned as most of the parts are removable and dishwasher safe. It does take up some room to store which can be kind of a hassle but we use it a lot and really like it so it has found a place in our kitchen. This is a fun grill to have and use.

We all decided to chip in for a raclette grill and this was the one that was on top of our list. We are quite happy with this product and would not mind to purchase again. The great thing is that the temperature setting can be adjusted, so you can cook a variety of different times. Bunch of different cooking paddles that you can work with that do not burn or melt. You can also remove the plates for easy cleaning. It's a European style of eating that is quite attractive. Basically it's similar to the Chinese version of hot pots. When your done eating, you have to pull off the plug because you can't turn it off. Coating is decent and does not flake off. But you have to be very gentle when you wash and do not scrape too strong. It can fit 8 people and overall it's a fun way to add some excitement for special occasions! Nonstick grill with 8-tray heating section is easy for everyone to cook their own food. It has adjustable temperature.Cleaning is simple given the removable parts and non-stick cooking surfaces. It has crescent handles and nice pans. The grill that rests on top is very useful and easily removable. The machine comes with the temperature dial on one side and the red indicator light, letting you know that the machine is plugged in. It heats fairly quickly. It does not have an off button so you have to unplug it when you are not using it or if you want it off. You will want to have friends over to use this all the time. Performance It cooks almost anything you want to cook and everyone will have a blast with this as you host parties and get togethers. Durability Will last for years. The Hamilton Beach Raclette Party Grill is perfect for a casual relaxing meal around your table. It works great for about 6 people. The prep for raclette is time-consuming, but it is worth it. Just chop everything up, thow it on the table. get yourself a serious serving of cheese and get to cooking. The cooking element is very hot, which is of course the point, so it is not appropriate for children. It is a bummer to clean up after, but with a good scrubby and some good tunes, your raclette will be clean in no time. And the trays went in my dishwasher. I wish we had more of an opportunity to use our party grill. It provides a similar atmosphere as a fondue pot, without the 70s throw back. Be the first of your friends to host an authentic Swiss raclette party. How European!

My wife and I first discovered raclette when we were living in Germany.  This is a delightful way to make dinner.  You cook your food on the grill in individual portions.  You can cook chicken, bratwurst, bacon, shrimp, all kinds of things really.  You can toast bread, make your own cheese bread, bake potatoes, bake potatoes and then cover them with cheese...Ah, it is such a wonderful treat.  This is a really great tool for parties.  Because each person can cook their meal to their tastes everyone gets exactly what they want.  We had this meal a few times in Germany.  We liked it so much we bought it as a gift for my parents.  We used it with them once we return to the states and decided to buy our own.  The top part works as a griddle so you put your meat on there, add some seasoning or cheese, or really-whatever you want to add, and let it cook.  The bottom part has the heating element and works like a toater.  Each person gets a small baking tray that you can put sliced bread on, or potatoes and warm that up.  In a few minutes you have a bite sized meal exactly like you would want it.  If you put out bowls of cut up sausage, chicken, potatoes, bread and all the fixings your guests can warm up their food at their conveince and enjoy.  This is a product for anyone who likes to host a party.  Plus, it is quite original and your guests will be impressed.
