I don't know if it is just me or not but it seems when ever I buy Pantene products they never seem to do to my hair what they claim they will do. Don't get me wrong I don't think my hair is going to suddenly become transformed in to the perfect hair of the model on television, but none of the Pantene products have ever lived up to expectations on my hair. Still when a new one comes out I always go and buy them and try them out. That was the case with the Pantene Pro V Hydrating Curls Conditioner. You can get this conditioner in the very arge 25.4 oz size or the average sized 12.6 bottle. The bottle actually sits upside down on the flip top lid. The smell is actually quite nice. It is hard to describe but it is fresh and vibrant and makes the whole shower smell good when you use it, it also stays with the hair and makes it smell nice. The conditioner itself is white and pearl like. The conditioner did seem to get most of the knots out of my hair, but was not perfect. Here is where it went terribly wrong. I have naturally curly hair and I have embraced that. I like to use products that will enhance my curls, make them tighter, fuller, and frizz free. After using the Pantene Pro V my hair was actually straighter than it has been in a long time. This conditioner actually makes my hair straighter and actually deflates my curls. My hair looks nice when I use it but I can't really plan to wear my hair curly if I use this. So as far as conditioning it does a decent job, but as far as enhancing curls it really falls flat at least for me. It turned my natural curls in to straight hair which was not the effect I was gong for.
