Growing up, I always had an automatic can opener. When I moved out, boy was I slapped with reality. As silly as it sounds, when it came time to open a can, I looked around and realized that I didn't have my usual can opener. I asked a roomate if they had one, and they said it was in the drawer. I took the ancient can opener contraption out, and couldn't believe that people were still living like this. At that moment I decided to go out and buy myself a can opener. I LOVE my Hamilton Beach can opener and wouldn't want to live without it. Being budget conscious, this little gadget does exactly what I want at a price I wouldn't mind dishing out again. And it is also easier to use than the automatic can opener I had growing up. It doesn't take up much counter space, which is excellent for a small kitchen. And it also looks very fashionable on the counter (no need to hide). I hate it when I'm out camping or at work and I have to open a can the traditional way. It is just annoying and everytime I use my Hamilton Beach I am happy. I have now decided that everyone needs this little piece of luxury, and usually buy this for friends who have moved out. And they love it!

hamilton beach HBC open station can opener is a must have in every household! i've always used a manual can opener as opposed to an electrical one but made the switch when i saw this at a friends house. i tried it out and thought it was so easy and simple to use and was a time saver. the price is reasonable and it comes with jar grabber and cutter for plastic. the price for this can opener was reasonable but the price was more than other can openers but the quality surpasses the items price tag. it opens cans of almost any size no matter how big. this can opener isnt loud or obnoxious. hamilton is a reputable brand that i would continue to buy. i recommend this to my other friends when they first buy a house.

I purchased this can opener for my mom after I accidentally broke hers.  The price was reasonable, and it comes with extras like a jar gripper and a cutter for plastic goods.  This can opener was a little more expensive than others, but it has extra features and is made by a reliable brand, so I was willing to pay more.  It is an electric can opener, so it's faster to use than the manual ones.  It will open cans of varying sizes, and so far has been doing great.  It has an easily removable opener that is great when you need to clean it.  The can opener is quiet and reliable.  The feel of it is very durable, and Hamilton Beach is a good brand.  My mom really likes it and uses it daily.  It's rather heavy for a can opener, but it remains stationery on her countertop, so she won't be lifting it.I enjoy colorful appliances, and this one comes only in black, so if you're looking for a fun can opener, this isn't it, but it is very functional and gets the job done.

After using cheaper electric can openers and manual can openers, this Hamilton Beach Can Opener seems like the best invention to come along.  It does a great job of opening a variety of sizes of cans on the first try.  Also compared to other can openers it is fairly easy to get the cans started to get them open.  Other can openers that I have used in the past have been difficult to get the can started on the opener and then sometimes you have problems getting it to actually cut, this is not the case with this opener.  Besides being a can opener, this product also has some other features which include a tool to help open lids and jars, and bottle top lids as well.  I also like that you are able to remove the cutting unit in order to clean.  This is the area of the can opener that gets the dirtiest and is usually the hardest to clean because you are unable to remove the cutting unit off of most can openers.  Overall this is a great product, and I would recommend it to someone who is looking for a great can opener that has many features.
