Hamilton Beach Food Processor - 14 Cups Big Mouth 70590 — 

I was given this item as a wedding gift 3 years ago.  When I first got it I wasn't using it much & as I started using it more often thats when things started to go south.  It started squealing really loud & its already loud to begin with.  The bowl turned yellow too.  I called the customer service dept & talked with a rep who said because I didn't have a reciept if I wanted to get it replaced under "warranty" I would have to send them $39.95 & also cut off the plug and send that to them as well.  I don't remember the exact reason why she said I would have to cut off the end of the plug but I think it had something to do with a manufactoring date or something?  She said that she would send me a new one within a week or so.  My problem is I don't know if I want to get another one of their food processors again.  My mother in law has a Cuisnart food Processor & it is so quiet compared to mine.  If I were you I would save your money & buy a Cuisnart.
