I bought my first Hamilton Beach K2070 Cordless Electric Kettle to take with me on an three week trip, As a tea drinker, I can't stand to use the pots in hotel rooms because they always have that "coffee" taste. I used it both morning and night and when I came home, I moved it upstairs, into our bedroom. Normally, I would bring up a cup of tea from the downstairs and drink it while we watched TV before bed. Trouble was, if I got distracted (kids, phone, animals, husband) my tea would be cool, if not cold, by the time I was ready to drink it. Having the Electric Kettle right there allowed me to fill it up in the sink and pour myself a cup on when I was actually ready to drink it!

USING THE KETTLE

The Electric Kettle has a nice, compact design, measuring approximately 9-1/6 by 5 by 7-1/3 inches. It is white with a blue swish up the side which allows you to see the water level through.

The Hamilton Beach K2070 Cordless Electric Kettle is really easy to use. First you add water, there are minimum (around 1.5 cups) and a maximum (1 quart) water levels which are both marked on the side. Once the water is added, you close the lid, plug the pot in and flip the switch, which causes the light to come on. The water boils within a couple of minutes and then the kettle automatically turns itself off, a very nice feature! The cord can be unplugged and you can move the kettle around the room - thus the cordless part of the name!

Note: The lid needs to be closed TIGHTLY or it can spill over the sides when poured!

ADDING ONE TO THE GUEST-ROOM

When my friend was coming for a visit, I moved my Electric Kettle down to the guest-room. I added a selection of teas and biscuits along with a set of mugs. I figured she could use it to have a light bite either before retiring, or in the morning without needing to leave her room. My friend used it all four nights, and then left a note on it saying, "My birthday is next month - Hint, hint" LOL

She did get one for her birthday and the guest-room got a permanent one as well which I am happy to say gets used by nearly every guest! The kettle comes with an 180-day limited warranty but I bought my first one over two years ago and it still works great!

Kristy's Final Viewpoint:

I really like my Hamilton Beach K2070 Cordless Electric Kettle and use it nearly every night! I have bought many as gifts; I added one to a box of instant drinks and mixes for use in a dorm and another with some herbal teas and a couple trashy novels for a bed-ridden Mom to be. It really is a handy thing to have!

You can get the Hamilton Beach K2070 Cordless Electric Kettle for $11.00 at Amazon.com. To make it an even better deal, pick it up under their 4 for 3 promotion. Just buy any combination of 3 participating products and you get one for free! If you get all $11 items, your final price is only $8.25 each and it comes with free shipping too!

Note: One odd thing is that the Hamilton Beach K2070 Cordless Electric Kettle is also sold as Proctor Silex K2070 Cordless Electric Kettle.

Oooo, I really like this. This would be great for the instant soups that my kids like. Great review. Thanks for sharing this information!

This sounds cute, it's a nice idea putting it in the guest room.

I love the idea of having this in the guestroom! It would be perfect for the Holidays.

It's amazing to me that these are still such novel items in the USA. Overseas, most people have them. Maybe because tea is not as big here as it is in other places. I coudn't get on without mine.
