Great little food processor for a reasonable price

4

I'll be honest - I don't do a lot of cooking so I don't have a ton of great cooking gadgets.  But recently I found a meatloaf recipe that's really yummy but requires a food processor to chop all the veggies and bread slices into tiny bits.  All I had was a small, cheap, one-cup food processor that did the job but I had to do it in a bunch of tiny batches and it was cheap and clunky. So a few months ago I picked up the **Hamilton Beach ChefPrep 3 Cup Chopper** to make the job go faster.  There were several other food processors at the store I purchased from, but I liked the 3-cup size, the style, and the price was very reasonable.  This product has worked out great for me. Over the past few months I've made tons of bread crumbs, chopped tons of veggies for salsa and for that meatloaf recipe, and I use it a few times a week to make tomato sauce with fresh tomatoes.  The 3-cup size is the perfect size for chopping all ingredients at once. The controls are on a cone shaped section of the base so it's very easy to grasp and set it to pulse or spin.  The container is also very easy to attach to the base and remove.

Greatest thing for shredding cheese to making salsa!

This is one of the greatest products I've purchased in years.  I use it all the time to chop onion, garlic, cheese and even shred meat for my one year old.  It is so easy to use, clean and store.  It's a perfect size as I don't really need a big processor but need a little larger than most minis come.  Hamilton Beech did it right with this one!

Not my dream food processor, but gets the job done.

The Hamilton Beach mini food process is not the food processor that I dream of, but it is definitely inexpesive and gets the job done. If you are in the market for a food process that is inexpensive, try the Hamilton Beach mini food processor. The food processor is easy to use and easy to store. This food processor does not offer a wide variety of features, it is plain and simple. This is not the food processor that you would want to display on your countertop. This food processor is not sleek nor eye catching, however, it will get the job done. I dream of getting a new food but currently I can't seem to part with this reliable little food processor. One downfall of this food processor is definitely the size. When I make salsa, all of my ingredients do not typically fit.

Great little gadget!

I LOVE this little food processor! I have had other bigger ones and they spent more time in a cupboard than being used. With the Hamilton Beach Mini Food Processor, it is small enough to leave on the counter where it is convieneint to use. Rarely does a day go by that I do not use it. No more tears chopping those onions ladies! As someone who cooks everyday, this is a must have.

Hamilton Beach Chopper may be little, but it's a wonder!

The Hamilton Beach 3-Cup Chopper is a great tool for my modest kitchen arsenal. I sort of inherited a disdain for full-sized food processors from my mother, who thought they were too bulky and difficult to clean to be of any use. But there were still times I needed finer, more even processing than what I could get with a knife or with a rolling pin to a plastic bag. In stepped this nice little appliance! First off, it is little, so I don't have to worry about it taking up a lot of cupboard space, espeically for something I need only on occasion. And it's extremely easy to use: snap on the lid, press the button, and you're processing. That said, though, there's just the one speed. You can pulse it or hold it for longer bursts, but it neither adjusts speed nor maintains processing without keeping the button depressed. And again, it is small, which is great for space-saving but can be tedious when needing to process larger amounts of food. It can be done, but you might have to break it up into batches. Cleanup is just as easy as using it, and overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who doesn't want a bulky processor taking up precious kitchen real estate.

Every kitchen needs a Hamilton Mini-Food Processor!

By far, the Hamilton Mini-Food Processor is one of the best appliances I have ever owned!  I use it to chop my vegetables, toppings for salads and my favorite - - onions!  I no longer have teary eyes, because it grinds them to just the exact size that I need for my cooking and saves me a lot of time.  I also like to use it to make desserts and to super-blend ingredients and spices together.  It is easy to use, quick and simple to clean up.  I don't know how i did without it for as long as I did!  My father (who is also a great cook) recommended it to me, and he was absolutely right!  Every kitchen needs a Hamilton Mini-Food Processor!

The food processor chops food fairly well.

The food chopper chops different foods fairly well, depending on the type of food being chopped. I have used the chopper for various foods, from fruit to nuts to ice. A lot of food choppers claim to be able to chop anything into tiny bits as well as being used for a mixer. This particular food chopper is not one to be used on just anything. It will blend fruit well and do its job to chop other foods, but you have to be careful which foods to use in it. Do not use it to chop ice. The plastic cup will crack and cause it to have leaks. I also used it to chop nuts and cookies for ice creak toppings. I expected the result to be more of a dust like topping rather than the big chunks that were left. Any food that gets caught below the blades rarely gets chopped or even lifted by the blades in order to be chopped. Often while attempting to chop dry foods I would have to remove the cup portion from the rest of the device, shake up the food inside the cup in order for the large chunks to be raised above the "dust" so that it could be in the path of the blade to be chopped.

Great little appliance for quick, small jobs.

This little Hamilton Beach / Proctor Silex food chopper is a fun, little appliance to have around.  Mine is a model number 7250. There are only two parts to remove for cleanup - the bowl and the blades - and both fit very easily into the dishwasher.  Neither have tubes or openings that make great catch-alls for the stuff flying around in the dishwasher during the clean cycle, so the parts come out clean, like they're supposed to. I've used this for chopping up garlic, nuts, and onions.  It makes a great, smooth pesto sauce.  The small size is so convenient for quick little jobs that you just don't want to drag out your bigger, multi-part food processor for.  My larger one takes up practically the whole dishwasher by the time all the different bits and pieces are in there, but the mini chopper is like putting a bowl in the dishwasher and the blade piece will fit in the silverware holder. This is an inexpensive little appliance, and I've really enjoyed using it, and feel like I received a good value.

IT WORKS GREAT! I USE IT EVERYDAY!

This little chopper is a must have!  I keep it on my counter and use it almost every day.  It is easy to clean as it comes appart in three pieces.  I use it to chop nuts, puree garlic and onions, make my own bread crumbs and chop meats for sandwich spreads.  It is very reasonably priced to and will last a long time if it is take care of. The only thing about it that is a negative is that you have to cut up certain items a little more than with the larger food processors.  It still saves a lot of time when you want to puree items for certain dishes.  It makes great bread crumbs.  You can put in almost any kind of bread, bagel, bun etc., as long as you tear/cut it up first so it fits in the chopper.  It will cut up ham for ham salad, chicken for chicken salad and it makes a great salsa.  It has two speeds, hi and low.  I have had mine for a couple of years and the blade still is very sharp.
