Hamilton Beach BrewStation Deluxe 12-Cup Coffee Maker Review

I absolutely love this coffee maker! I’m on my third Hamilton Beach Brewstation (we make a lot of coffee) and always look for the newest model. I love the fact that I do not have to worry about burnt coffee in the bottom of a glass carafe. Prior to my first Brewstation, my husband refused to drink coffee that was more than two hours old in a glass carafe. This coffee maker is programmable to stay on up to four hours and the coffee still tastes great! The programmable features are very easy to use and in a place where you are not likely to change them accidentally when making coffee. There are only two things I wish were improved:

1. A water amount/indicator should also be placed in the bottom where the water is poured. I’ve sometimes started with a full carafe only to remember after beginning to pour the water in that I wanted less coffee. Unless you measure exactly before you begin to pour, you cannot determine how much water you have in the water tank. And, without unplugging the device, there is no way to pour the water back out. 
2. The basket should be just a bit deeper to enable the water to fill it without spilling coffee grounds over it. We tend to like our coffee very strong.
3. The availability of the water filters and replacement parts. The Hamilton Beach website indicates where these parts are sold, but I’ve never found them in a store! Also, there is one part (the coffee tank filter) that doesn’t seem to be replaceable even from their own web site.
