We are so excited with this new convection toaster oven that we recently purchased to replace our old one that wasn't toasting evenly.  The day it arrived as soon as we took it out of the box I was dying to try the rotisserie feature, so we ran to the supermarket and bought a fabulous chicken that we place on the rotisserie.  Oh my gosh, after watching for about two hours on and off like dummies, with my son, as the chicken turned and made the whole kitchen smell yummo.  We all sat down to a off the bone delicious chicken. Can't wait to make another one and then some more.  We use it almost everyday, although we haven't yet dominated the convection part yet we hope to do so soon. My kids love using it since it so easy and a great size to have on the counter top.  We don't have to turn on the large oven for everyday use like we were normally doing, we just turn this little guy ion and we are all set!

I was looking for a new convection oven but was getting very frustrated. I would find good reviews on one but then check another site and they had bad reviews on the same one. I wanted one that was good quality without spending a couple hundred dollars. There was only one that seemed to hold its ground across the board and that was the Hamilton Beach 31197 Convection Oven. Love Using my Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven!

This was one of our first appliances as a newly married couple. My grandma gave this to us as a housewarming gift for our kitchen. I love it! I liked the fact that I was able to bake in it, and do a lot of toasting garlic bread in it, and even some baking in it. I did a little tartlet thing---it came out nice. The convection cooking feature is real nice for it heats everything up in a short amount of time. My husband and I used it a whole lot in the beginning, but we found that for the space we had in the kitchen, we could not keep our microwave and our toaster oven out at the same time. I currently don't have an oven, so this is my only oven I have. We will be moving soon, I won't purchase another oven when I can use this. I have baked everything from cheese cakes to cookies to bread and a ton of stuff in between with this. My cheese cakes always get a little brown, but they still taste good. The cookies and breads I usually cook longer than the directions say because they're never ready on time. I put our pizzas on the pan the came with the oven and it works well. I usually put parchment paper on the pan for cookies and they come out perfect. I would say this is a good oven for a family of 4 or less. Our homemade pizzas are enough for at least one meal if not 2, so I would say you can feed at leat 4 people with this oven. I would say this is for seniors all the up to young people. The product can fit in large to small places. I have had it for quite a few years and it is worth the money.

This is my first convection oven and it is the best for it's size and looks. I have cooked 12" pizzas that cooked so evenly both top and bottom in a lot less time. The meat-loaf last night was the best ever, cooked to perfection. I did purchase this oven knowing how hot it gets and only use it outside just as I would if I were barbequing. The racks and trays that come with it, make all the difference for a variety of dishes. The rotisserie spit and removal handle are a bonus feature and I look forward in cooking a roast beef someday. With a family of 6 I am always cooking! I love my Hamilton Beach oven! It works great for pizzas and those frozen meals for a quick meal. I love that it heats up quickly and doesn't take up too much space on my countertop. Cleanup is easy with the slideout tray on the bottom and the 2 included mini cookie sheets made just for this oven. It is great for those warmer days when you don't want to heat up your whole kitchen. This has also taken the place of my toaster as it has a broil setting on it. I want to note that the actual unit does get hot on the outside so be sure to watch your hands. However, it is a type of oven, what would you expect.... I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get an oven like this.

  I love this little guy! Since purchasing this Hamilton Beach Convection Oven , back in the summer, I have not used my gas oven once. I have a large family and we eat out very little. I cook two or three meals every single day. I have used this oven for baking biscuits, loaves of bread, pies, cakes cookies, casseroles, lasagna, meatloaf, chicken, pizza (frozen and homemade), plus loads of other dishes. I even baked a ham in it, on Thanksgiving. It doesn't come with a lot of recipes, but people who do a lot of cooking will quickly adjust recipes for use.I always use the convection setting, as I love the speed that it cooks things and how my baked goods turn out golden brown.

I have this model Toaster oven I do use it on occassion, I have to be honest though, I wish I knew how to make more things in it. When I got it a couple of years ago the instruction manual had a few things that you could make with it and I do make them. Like I make my sons their french toast sticks in it in the morning, or I will make toast in it. However, I would really like to make more in it and I haven't really found many recipes for it lately. However, seeing this review I'm thinking that I'm going to get on the ball and try to find more as I really think that it could make some great meals.

I think what has held me back more so from finding more is every time I go to take something out of the oven I end up burning my hand in one way or another. So it really hasn't motivated me to look for more ways to use it. I just use it the bare minimum and then leave it till the next time I'm making my sons some french toast or whatever I ususally use it to make.

I purchased the Hamilton Beach Extra Large Toaster oven a few months ago for $45. This is the best toaster oven at such a great price. I love that it has two racks and is very roomy. I use it often for heating up food as well as cooking for parties and showers. It is handy to have another oven around when cooking for parties. I have cooked a wide range of food in this convection/toaster oven, and it has all turned out evenly cooked. I also love that it heats up much quicker than my regular oven (very convenient). The oven has an auto shut off which is helpful and is easy to clean. The oven will get hot to the touch on the exterior so just be careful. I would definitely recommend this toaster oven to a friend and love using mine.

Since toaster ovens first appeared, I've probably owned and used over a dozen -- this one is the best one yet, and I'm really pleased with the purchase.  It was reasonably priced, it's a nice practical size, has all the control settings needed, and is easier to clean than most.  One of the most irritating problems with many such ovens is that they won't accomodate average baking dishes; this one not only comes with its own pan and rack, most ordinary baking dishes will also fit.  In fact, I've actually baked entire meals (for one person) at one time, which pleases my frugal nature.  There is a pull-out crumb/drip tray which is easily scoured at the sink or ...

I got the Hamilton Beach Extra Large Toaster as a birthday gift and it has been one of the best gifts I have ever received! I love baking and using my oven, but there are times when I want to be able to bake or warm up a small portion for myself, especially when the kids are away at school. I have found this toaster to be easy to manage and to clean as well. When my nieces and nephews are visiting, I am comfortable with them using it. They use it to toast their chicken nuggets or other toaster oven friendly foods. I have had trouble with other toasters warming up too much and almost burning the top of my counter from forgetting to shut it off on time, but this one doesn't do that, It has an auto shut off feature and I just love that! It has a convenient look to it so it blends in beautifully in my kitchen. The slots are wider and it has a slide out crumb tray. This is just a great toaster!

Good little oven, gets the job done. I've had it for a couple of months now and have used all of the functions it offers. I was even able to cook a chicken on the convection setting. The toaster function does take a little longer than a stand alone toaster, and is a little more powerful than what I was used to. Because of its smaller size, things cook faster in this oven than in a full size oven, even with the convection mode shut off. The fan does make a low humming noise, but that is to be expected.

I looked up many reviews before purchasing this oven, many other ovens out there have negative reviews. So far this oven has performed well. It is great for making a small batch of cookies on the included baking tray and it even fits a loaf pan for baking bread.

This Hamilton Beach toaster oven is a good purchase for those who have minimal cooking needs and like simplicity. It particularly served me well while I was in college. You can throw just about anything in there and cook it in a hurry. Also, with the removable tray, it's not too hard to clean at all. I recommend this toaster for just about anyone, but if you have a large family and lots of kids, it's not nearly as practical. Even though it has large capacity for a toaster oven, it clearly doesn't have the capabilities to meet the needs of a large family. When I first bought the Hamilton beach toaster oven I thought it would only be used to toast bread.  I found out I would use it for much more.  I have cooked everything from pizza to pot roast in the oven.  The toaster oven is a great alternative to heating up the huge event in my kitchen.  It is also a great time saver when I'm in a hurry or just need a quick snack.  I like to cook many quick fix meals sometimes frozen meals and the toaster oven is much better than the microwave oven.  ITbrowns everything perfectly.  I've even cooked a perfect roasted chicken in the toaster oven.This oven works great on any setting from lightly brown toast to blackened fish! Its especially useful when you need to toast large items like a frozen pizza or thick bagels. It also makes the perfect grilled hot dogs and sausages. Awesome way to reheat leftovers as well. You can find these for under $50 just about anywhere and they are well worth it.
