The initial reason I purchased this Hamilton Beach 5-Speed 100 Watts Hand Mixer was the price. I was looking for an economical hand mixer and I thought this one would be perfect. The mixer itself is light weight and easy to hold when using it. The beaters slide easily into their designated place. The ejection feature works well for removal of the beaters once you are finished. I did find the mixer to be a little unsteady when I placed the mixer in an upright position on the counter. The mixer is suppose to be a 5 speed mixer. I did not notice or feel any change in the speed of the motor or the beaters when I moved the speed dial to the different numbers located on top of the mixer. Using this mixer was like using a one speed blender, fast, with no way to slow it down. I did find the cord to be long enough when it was plugged into the wall outlet and stayed out of the way when I used this mixer. I would say if you are looking for mixer to put in your camp trailer and not pay a lot of money, this would be the mixer to buy.

I bought this hand mixer because I was on a tight budget and could afford it. I should have waited until I could purchase something a little better built. The second day I had it, I became disappointed because the beaters get "stuck" in anything that I mix. Mixing Performance First day I had this mixer, it worked fine. The second day is another story. The beaters seem to "stick" in everything I try to mix from mixing batter to mixing up mashed potatoes. I can not get anything to be smooth because of the performance of this mixer. Ease of Cleaning This mixer is easy to clean and beaters come clean very easily in warm, soapy water. Ease of Use This is not easy to use, I end up trying to use the beaters to mix things up without the beaters turned on because of the issues I have with the performance. Design I like the design, it fits nicely in your hand and is not bulky. Durability This hand mixer is not very durable. As I have said, it worked perfectly find on the first time but from then on the beaters get stuck in whatever mixture you are mixing.

Overall, this mixer is perfect for light duty mixing. Mixing Performance For light duty mixing this was great! Makes mixes and potatoes very well. Just do not try to use it for heavier mixing like cookie dough as I did. It will not work on that and will start to smell like it is burning. Ease of Cleaning Love how easily the beaters are ejected from the unit. They are very easy to clean and very easy to dry... You can just let them air dry without worries of rust or discoloring. Ease of Use Very easy to use! My 7 year old loves to help me bake and he has no problems holding the unit to mix things. It's light weight and powerful for normal mixing. The best feature of this is the weight. I also like that the cord is in the back of the unit and not on the side like other ones I have owned. It makes for easier and safer use when helping a child because the cord stays out of the way. Design Overall design is attractive. I wish it had the clips in it to store the beaters. I didn't have the opportunity to keep the box that it came in so I constantly have to look for them. The cord just gets gathered up and stays with a twist tie. Durability I have had my mixer for about 8 years and it still looks and works like new! I haven't dropped it so I am not sure about what would happen if you do. But it has survived 3 moves outside its original carton and packaging.

I like this little hand mixer because it is simple to use, and easy to clean. It always does the job I need and mixes every time I need it as well as could be expected. It has multiple speeds and the metal mixers eject without any trouble. I recommend that after each use, you always clean the metal mixers right away, because if you don;t the batter or whatever it is you've mixed will harden in the small nooks and they will be a nightmare to get clean. I've been very satisfied with the power, variable speeds and durability of this mixer. It has lasted longer than I expected and is a kitchen appliance I rarely think about until I need it. It has always come through for me and i anticipate that i will probably replace it before it breaks. I would definitely recommend this mixer. It is suitable for any beginner baker or cook and is useful for simple cooking tasks. I would not recommend it's use for more strenuous jobs, since it is just a small hand held appliance.

This is a great little mixer for basics like boxed cakes and brownies. Its light weight and easy to use, and it mixes ingredients well. I have however noticed it is better to blend the ingredients together first with a spoon or spatula before using the mixer. The reason being is because if you use just the mixer the ingredients don't mix up well especially with a boxed cake when you have eggs and oil.

I bought this Hamilton Beach Hand Mixer about 10 years ago. It is small and light and easily stores in my tiny kitchen. I am more of a mix by hand person as getting out a bunch of equipment for something that will take me 5 minutes to do by hand seems like a waste. I bought this expressly for making meringues. I use this perhaps 6 times a year and it has withstood the test of time by being versatile and compact. If you need a mixer to do occasional jobs and have little storage this is perfect. It is easy to clean and wipe down as well, and disassembles into a compact little box about the size of a box of granola bars. It has a range of speed settings and has worked just as well for my meringue as it does for when my husband whips mashed potatoes. I would reccomend this to anyone that like me has no need of another giant appliance.

I like my Hamilton Beach hand held mixer. I will not say that it is a product that I can not live without but I have had it quite a while and have not had any problems out of it. The mixer is simple, small and is easy to store and it is convient to use. It seems to last for quite a while. The mixer is sturdy and is easy to take apart and clean. The mixer has speeds that all work great and this mixer can make some awesome cookies! For durability I would give it 5 stars easily. I use all my kitchen appliances quite a bit and I have had this mixer for a while now.The Hamitlon Beech mixer is reasonably priced and is a good starter mixer for anyone who is just starting out, just learning how to cook, doesn't cook a lot and needs a mixer or for someone who is just starting to get household items for thier first home. This is a good product and I would have not problems recommending this to anyone looking for a handheld mixer.
