This toaster is very versatile with its many functions. I use this toaster to toast bagels, waffles, toast, frozen pancakes and garlic bread slices. The toaster has wide 1.5 inch slots to fit thicker foods inside. The toaster has multi toasting functions to toast frozen foods, toast your foods as light or dark as you want. There is a try that catches all of the crumbs from your foods that you toast so it makes cleaning up very simple. The toaster itself has a cool touch exterior so I never have to worry about burning myself. This toaster works very well and I would recommend it to anyone who has a family of 2 or 4. Toasting Evenness The toaster toast everything evenly on both sides. Safety This is a cancel button feature that is on the toaster in case you need to stop the cooking process for whatever reason. Ease of Cleaning This toaster is very easy to clean and comes with a crumb collecting tray. Durability This toaster is very durable and I have not had any problems with it malfunctioning. Design I really like the simple design and easy to use functions.

I have a family of 6 so the old 2 slice was not cutting it anymore, even though the toaster we had was fine, we needed a new one. We checked a local store Farm and Fleet I wasn't finding any I liked and happened to check the clearance area and there was the toaster I wanted, not sure why it was on sale but that was ok with me. I needed it to be a cool touch wide slots and easy to use, it fits all those demands. They only had white, I would have preferred a black toaster but this one doesn't seem to get to dirty anyway. I love the bagel function, I make homemade bagels all the time and this is nice to have, my kids love the cancel button so they can decide when to get their toast out of the machine. The only draw backs and why it gets a 4 are, its slow and the bread doesn't pop up very far, so with homemade breads you can get burnt getting them out, as of course that are is hot. Toasting Evenness It does toast well just a little more on top. Safety The sides are always cool, but the top can get pretty hot, be careful of getting your bread/bagel out. Ease of Cleaning It has two crumb trays on the bottom the swing open and clean out well. Durability This has held up great with many kids using them Design Plain Jane but that's ok for a toaster.

After years and years of having the same toaster, we started noticing that it became really slow and would not toast bread or bagels. So luckily enough I had plenty of points on a survey site and I was able to get this Hamilton Beach toaster for free. I can't complain about that, although, I have seen that people say the toaster is actually cheap. While the design of the toaster is rather cheap looking, it works amazingly. I have absolutely no complains. For years, I have always used two-sliced toasters, so this was a big step to get a four-slice toaster. Honestly, I'm not sure why I did it since there are only two people in my house - my mother and myself. Rarely do we ever need to toast two sets of bread, bagels or English muffins. The toaster is rather big - despite it being a four-slice toaster. It just seems like there is some extra plastic material on the side that doesn't need to be there. Nevertheless, I am pretty thrilled with the toaster. The only (real) complaint I have about the toaster is the two nobs on the front are very clunky/junky feeling. They feel as if they could maybe fall off after some time. Overall, I would definitely recommend this toaster. It's cheap (according to people), it works great, toasts bagels wonderfully. It's big, but that's something that I can get over. Toasting Evenness No issues here! Safety Very safe - only reason it wouldn't be safe is because of something you did. Design The adjustable knobs are a little cheap and junky feeling.

I have had this toaster for a year or so, and it works great. I like the multiple adjustments and wide slots. I have used it for bagles, toast, waffles, pop tarts, and many other things. It works perfectly every time, and have had no problems with it at all. I consider it to be one of my most reliable kitchen appliances and one I can't live without. Toast comes out perfectly every time, as does any thing else I use it for. I highly recommend this toaster to anyone who might be in the market for a new one. I feel the cost was reasonable and I shopped around before I decided on this particular toaster. I know there are a lot out there on the market, but not all have the selections of adjustments as this does.

My Hamilton Beach 4 slice toaster does well - from regular toast, to bagels, to pop-tarts to homemade bread! Each 2 slice slots has its own regulator for the degree of toasting. While there is metal at the actual toasting area, the rest of the toaster is a white plastic that keeps the actual toaster cool to the touch! In the back there are two crumb trays that easily slide out for cleaning. My biggest complaint would be that the white plastic part of the toaster is not as easy to clean as I would like. The toaster also has nice wide slots that accomodate bagels and homemade bread, as many times it is sliced thicker than regular toast. I have had this toaster for a few years and it has done very well.

I love sandwiches, breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner! In other words, I eat a lot of bread and a lot of toast. I've used many toasters since my college days of surviving on toasted peanut butter and jelly. In addition to that I now make things like cucumber and bacon hors deouvres with dill dressing on toast points! This is also great becasue the slots are extra wide for larger sliced breads, and bagels, and the adjutable dial knobs make for quick and easy selection of desired toastiness... The removable crumb trays are great and collect most of the debris that falls during cooking. Super easy to clean, except for where the recessed metal is on top. I find crumbs tend to collect there. Overall this is a great toaster, I've put it through everyday use for over 2 years and it's still going like I just took it out of the box! Great toaster for the price point!

I'm a pretty big fan of Hamilton Beach products. They sometimes get a bad rap for their quality, but I've never had any significant problems with anything from them, and it's hard to beat their low, low prices. This toaster is an attractive appliance that toasts quickly and evenly, and has a price tag that won't make your eyes fall out of your head, wondering how a piece of metal that heats up bread can be so expensive. This looks great on my countertop, and is small enough that it slides right into a corner without taking up too much counter space. The controls are large and easy to read and use, and I feel like the adjustment dial actually makes sense and allows me to get my toast just the way I like it.

We got this Hamilton Beach toaster when we moved into our first apartment, because we wanted a cheap 4-slice toaster. I actually didn't expect it to last too long, and we registered for a fancier toaster when we got married 9 months later - now I'm glad that no one chose it from the registry because this toaster has lasted us years! It's a great, reliable toaster and I love that I can cook 4 slices at once (essential with a growing family who loves their bread!) The darkness settings are pretty accurate and I've never burnt a piece of toast in this toaster. Another great feature is the crumb door on the bottom (one for each side) which lets me clean out the inside with my little hand-vac SO easily. When we feel like we need another toaster in the future (8 slices at once!) we will likely get another identical Hamilton Beach one. I can't think of any negatives, our toaster has served us very well!

I previously had a two slot toaster and love the four slots.  It is perfect with two children.  It toasts four slices of toast at the same time because they usually want two slices each.  With the two slot toaster, I had to toast two slices twice, and in the meantime, two of the slices got cold.  With the four slice toaster, my children can both have hot toast and with the shade selector, it is always a perfect brown.  It also toasts frozen waffles.  It heats them perfectly and does not leave them soggy, like my previous toaster did.  It also has the perfect slots for bagels, which I love.  There is nothing like a hot bagel with cream cheese in the morning.  It is also easy to clean.  It has a slide out tray for cleaning.  I really love my toaster, now that I have been using the four slot toaster, I would not part with it.
