Most everyone likes to shop and everyone loves a bargain. For those who like both, there is the internet site Half.com, an on- line Ebay.com retail company known for its large selection of used merchandise. Reviewers of Half.com love the low prices and the fact that they can buy and sell merchandise like books, DVD’s, and music CD’s. The site is known for selling used merchandise at low prices but there are some new items also. Half.com is a “Great Place to Buy Inexpensive Books” and reviews of Half.com emphasize the fact that you will “Never Pay Full Price Again”. Since most merchandise is used, there are some issues regarding the condition of books and other products. But the low prices and ability to buy and sell keep bringing customers back to Half.com.

I am an avid reader and always on the lookout for a good deal on a current book. The bookseller powerhouses, Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com, are obvious choices for obvious reasons - selection, price, and availability. a busy person, interested in good value for the price
With a daughter in college, I am acutely aware of the cost of textbooks. Since her cvollege doesn't have a book store, she would have to run around to other schools &/or Barnes & Noble in downtown Manhattan to get her books. It is amazing to me that we can get most of her books at half.com for more than 75% less than what we would pay at a college book store. The range of subject matter available is incredible and sometimes the postage costs more than the books. I have purchased from half.com several times, but hadn't had a problem until now. The prices can be fantastic as long as you don't have trouble with the seller. You forget about customer service until it is needed. There is no such animal at half.com. My impression is that they see themselves as a web server for merchants. Their sellers are independent contractors, whom they only contact if necessary. I have had more luck getting help from Amazon with their marketplace sellers. This site saved my meager college budget! I was able to save hundreds of dollars on my graduate studies text and study aids. This site is easy to use, with a reliability factor unmatached by any other site. I am not a book collector. I don't read the same book over and over again. I just want to get the books I want to read at the lowest price I can find, read it, and pass it on. Half.com is perfect for me. I don't have to wait out an auction and get sniped at the end, I can just click and buy at bargain prices. I don't mind used books at all as long as all the pages are there and not torn, or written on, and the binding isn't falling off. This is a really great website that can be used to find previously owned textbooks as well as many other books for pleasurable reading. You can also, sell books to others who enjoy reading them as much as you do. It is a great way to exchange books that you have already read and now have no use for. You may make something off from those books that are just lying around the house. Half.com is a division of e-bay, but with none of the bidding wars. You can find nearly any type of book on this site and most are very good deals. I have bought all types of fiction and many non-fiction books, too. Everything from books about cats to books about Ford engines, to the latest best-seller. Be wary of new or nearly new books that might be book club editions. Most savvy sellers divulge this, but some either don't know there is a difference, or don't bother to mention it. I have used Half.com to sell and purchase many items for several years now. I have never had a problem with ordering and buying. Selling your product is quite easy with their personal database. — I have used Half.com for used college books when I couldn't find my daughter or son's college books many times. They have a rating system, that I thought worked well. When ever I see a book I think I might like to read I head to half.com (a company now owned by Ebay) to see what they are offering it for. I have purchased many a good book on half.com. I recently purchased a best seller for 75% off the list price, read the book and then a few weeks later sold it on half.com for 50 cents less than I paid for it. what a deal reading a book and then reselling it again, and the book was delivered right to my door. Ever since I discovered this site, I haven't paid anywhere near full price for a book! A wide variety of books, music, and movies available. Both new and used items. Search for an items and you are presented with options in different conditions, from brand new to very used. I've bought many books and children's movies at a fraction of the cost of retail stores and have never been disappointed. Even the brand new items can be found at significant discounts. I am not a book collector, I am just a reader. So as long as all the pages are there and not torn up too badly, I prefer books cheap - so used is A-OK with me. I love to read and I love a bargain. I hate to pay full price for books. Half.com is a great way to get a bargain on a book. This site has had almost every book I've searched for. The vendors have proved to be reliable and prompt and the books have arrived in the condition described on the website.
