Half.com Review

I ordered a graduate textbook online on August 14.  My credit card was charged the following day and the confirmation I received said I would receive the book between August 25th and August 25th.  OK.....  It took 11 days for the book to be shipped.  ELEVEN DAYS!!!!  Now it will be an additional 4-8 days or up to 12 days (so they say) before I'll actually get the book.  I have five chapters due in less than a week.  Now I'll have to go to the campus bookstore to buy the book anyway, thus making this "half price" plan cost me 1-1/2 times the cost of the book.  My credit card company says the seller shouldn't charge you until the order is shipped anyway.  This company has NO CONTROL over their sellers and you have no recourse.  I'm going to contact my credit card company to get some help because this is ridiculous.  The seller has had use of my money for almost two weeks and I have nothing to show for it.  It's not like waiting for a check to clear - they get my money instantly upon charging it to my card and there is no purpose in waiting other than to irritate your buyer.  DO NOT buy from these guys unless you have all semester to wait for your book.  There is no 'customer service' involved with this transaction and my overall satisfaction is NIL.  I now have doubts the book will be of the quality specified.
