I needed a window air conditioner because even with the central A/C on in the house, I still like it much cooler than everyone else in the house. I am hot-natured so I always need it very cool. Everyone else says they are freezing when I am most comfortable. I turn this thing way down in my room so it is really cool and comfortable for me and this gets it cold like I love it. It is a great A/C window unit for the price it costs. It is not as loud as some of the window units I have owned in the past. This helps me sleep great because I can bundle up in my covers and not sweat which is when I am the most comfortable. If you are looking for a good A/C unit at a good price, then this is a great unit for you.

Haier is the top dog in this air conditioner world and this is one of its best products, in my opinion. The HWR10CX6 Wall/Window Air conditioner unit works spectacularly. It is a dependable and sturdy unit that will last a long time. No matter how long you leave it on or how hard, it never acts like it is about to tear itself apart or stop woking. On top of this fact, the air conditioner unit works very quiety and efficiently, generally saving money when compared to other similar units and machines. Lastly, it is fairly inexpensive. The only downside is that when it gets extremely hot, like in the dog days of summer, the Haier air conditioning unit takes a bit longer than you would feel comfortable in warming up and getting cold air flowing to you. Nonetheless, I do think that this is one of the best air conditioner units on the market today and would recommend it to anyone int he market for a new one.

This air conditioner works great, and is very energy efficient! We use it to supplement our central air on a different level of the house but it works great and has held up well.  Quiet when running.  Easy to work. Great sale price as well, so it couldnt be beat for the quality and price!

We live in the South, and our rental home doesn't have central air-conditioning. As one would imagine, we have been on the hunt for air conditioner window unit that is efficient, affordable, and most of all, hard-working.  We settled on the Haier air conditioning units.  These fit easily into our budget, allowing us to get several and put them throughout the house.  These units were easy to install . . . so easy that I was even able to install one by myself, and I have absolutely no knowledge of how to put things together at all.  I was pleasantly surprised when we began using these units consistently.  They have thermostat settings, so i was able to program in our ideal temperature, and they have different speed settings for the fan, also helping us regulate the way cold air is dispersed in the room.  One unit is generally enough to do half of my two-bedroom house.  My only complaint would be the ambient noise it produces.  While I don't particularly notice it anymore, the units do make a sort of rattling noise as they run.  I can see that being aggravating for some people.  Overall, however, it's a great buy.

I have owned a Haier window air conditioner for several years now.  It is the noisiest a/c that I have ever owned. I have another window a/c in my home that is very quiet.  Is there something that they could do to quiet it down some?  Also, we are unable to operate it any other way than with the remote.  When you press the buttons on the unit itself the temp goes up to about 85,  and the sleep timer will adjust to shut it off.

This air conditioner packs a good little punch and keeps our living room very cool and comfortable in the hottest of weather. I like it because it is small enough to fit in our old house which has tall skinny windows. It is easy to install and not too cumbersome to handle when installing. I have 3 of these in my house.

It is easily installed, cools large rooms, its is quiet so there is no trouble hearing a tv over it. It is simple to operate for someone that doesnt have vast knowlage in electronics like the airconditioners with timers and all of that.

    I had this air conditioner when we first moved to the area we bought it because, the place we where living was just temporary and it had no a/c unit or central at all. Here is the thing about window Units 1) Even though they push cold air they are not very efficient 2) This Unit is pretty small I have seen window units as big as cars! Anyway... It was a pain in the as.... to get it in the window . One person was out side and one person inside .           But... here was the biggest issue the house we where living at was up on stilts( off the grown) so the person that was out side ( which was me ) had to get a 2x4 to hold the thing up so that the window part could be attached. I was waiting for it to fall I was just going to let it go I sure was not going to try and catch it! And no there was not another window!            Oh its a real fancy one has a remote control and everything??? For us it was either on or off there was no turning it up or down so that went in the drawer!. Also I remember the Electric bill was a paycheck!             I am sure it has good use I had the Salvation Army pick it up when we had this house built!

I have had two of these air conditioners.  I bought the first one in 2006, and it lasted for less than the entire summer. I do believe now that it was simply a faulty unit. It does come with a warranty, so when it broke, I called customer service...I had to do a few things like peel off the serial number sticker, cut off the end of the power cord, and send all of that and the receipt to the company, but within a few weeks there was a brand new unit on my doorstep. THIS one is still going strong!! It fits perfectly in my living room window, and manages to keep the living room, kitchen and hallways cool. It hardly uses ANY energy, in fact I never noticed an increase in my electricity bill because of it. The only flaw BOTH units had is the simple fact that the front doesn't like to stay on very well! It is hinged so that it can be easily opened for cleaning, and if you jar it or hit it just right, the whole front comes detatched, and has to be taped to stay on, otherwise it just hangs by wires! Other than that, I am pleased with this unit, and would purchase it again.
