Our winter project was to turn our basement into a space where we could entertain friends and family. In fact, we were doing just that last weekend during a thunderstorm when the door suddenly burst open and water started rushing into the basement. Within 2 minutes, we had 4 inches of water covering the entire floor. Not cool.

We used the Shop Vac to get all of the standing water up off of the floor, but the basement was very damp, as were parts of the rugs that we weren't able to get completely up off of the floor in time. After 6 days, we broke down and bought the Haier DE45EA 45 Pint...
