Although some reviewers really like the Haier Air Conditioner – HWX059C7, several reviewers feel that it's just far too "noisy" of a unit. The Haier company has told the reviewers that have called to complain about the noise that the result is because of "the way the air conditioner is designed," and that the "annoying buzz" is part of the cooling process. Yet, reviewers feel this Haier "works well, if noise isn't an issue." Outside of the noisiness, reviewers are "amazed at how well this small unit cooled the place down." With the addition of this Haier window unit, reviewers note that sometimes "the central air kicks off, and our power bill is much lower." I absolutely love this air conditioner.  We had a huge bedroom at out apartment and this was the air conditioner we used.  It kept our room cool plus the whole entire upstairs.  We never once had a problem with it.  It was always the perfect temperature.

I would not buy this brand again. The noise that it makes is really quite irritating. At first I thought that something must be hitting the fan and I called the company to ask about it and it is a normal function but I am not the first person to complain how noisy it is.

We moved into a great ranch style home last spring, its out in the country and the view is wonderful, but we don't have central air!! I bought a Haier air Conditioner at Wal-mart and installed it in my living room. I quickly realized that I was gonna need a bigger unit for this space. I put the one I'd just purchased in my bedroom.I did buy a larger Haier AC unit for my living areas with a higher energy rating (I can run this all the time and hardly see any change in my electric bill!). That being said, I love how fast this unit cools my large bed/bath area but I hate how much electricity it uses!... review »

this product the haier hwx058c7 air conditoner can cool down your house and be reliable and strong running but cools down your house oe designated areas two slow and can be a little noisy esspecially at night when you're trying too sleep i personally would not suggest this product too my worst enemy i hope you recieve a better product

I have purchased 5 of these little Gems. Two originally when the A/C went out on a Saturday night in my son's house in New Orleans. They are very lightweight and cool down a 12X12 room quick. One of these first ones had the buzz, but I found out that if you shifted it slightly that went away (thought to be the internal blower hitting on the styrofoam divider). After the main A/C was fixed we put them in storage (just in case). Katrina came, and once again the units came out (cause the gen set wouldn't handle the Central unit). I bought another one, and the house was livable, if not comfortable...

I have to give this a low rating because I found the noise this unit made to be entirely unacceptable.  I bought this as supplemental AC for our living room (the big unit is in the next room over).  The plan was to trial it in that window, and if it ended up being quieter than the 5000BTU LG in the bedroom, to swap the two.  Unfortunately this unit makes an incredibly annoying buzz.  It's much more than the normal fan/compressor sound.  It sounded like there might be a mount loose on the compressor or the fan was hitting something, though I didn't open to find out. Definately way to loud to...

The Haier Air Conditioner is a great product

We were having a really hard time keeping our trailer cool with no insulation. Our central air ran continuesly and it would still reach 95 degrees in the afternoon. I was really worried about our 2 long haired cats, they were constantly miserable. We finally broke down & purchased a Haier Air Conditioning Window Unit, & I was amazed at how well this small unit cooled the place down. Now alot of times the central air kicks off, & our power bill is much lower also. I would recommend this product to anyone!!

Best air conditioner I've ever bought!!

I recently purchased this air conditioner from Wal Mart.  I installed it in the window of my living roomon the first floor.  I live in a center hall colonial and all my rooms on the the first floor are wide open, the only door is the bathroom door.  This air conditioner keeps the whole first floor of my house sooooo cool.  Sometimes I have to shut it off because I start to get too cold!!!  I would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a new air conditioner.  You can't beat the price for such a great product!!

i have this ac unit and i tell u its great for a bed room or small shut space we were getting are ac fixed and we need some thing mean while to stay cool with and so we got one for our beed room and one for the living room which is near the dinning room it was very hard to cool down the living room to much open space i think not very good when ur very hot and on the other note my bed room we all ways keep the door shut so when u open the door it felt very nice u just wanted to stay in the room not so good was are pepco bill

  i own one of these air conditioners. the haier hwx058c7 air conditioner i use it in my home office and it cools very well . and the cost to operate it is very minimal would recomend it to anybody . would be really great for anyone on a small budget .like senior citizens .anybody on a small budget . or anybody who is trying to get a small bussiness going that dont have alot of money to spend did i mention the cost of the unit is very affordable

air conditioners in the summer is very  uninque and special. i love to go in an air conditioned home. especially from the hot heat outside it makes me feel comfortable. some like other people air conditioners but me personally. i prefer my own air conditioner because it's the fact that it's your own. i love the things that keep them pumping out cold air for me and my family.

i really enjoyed this air conditioner. i would recomend this to anyone with a pet, especially a cat. i just recently bought a new kitten, his name is Swisher, he is 8 weeks old now and is full of spunky energy. with all his running around his hair goes everywhere! but with this air conditioner... his hair is kept to a minimum. thanks Haier for making such an awesome air conditioner!

I have had this item in my living room since the beginning of this summer and it has out performed all other ACs I have had in the past. It's quiet, doesn't freeze quickly or spit out water if it has been on for more than 2 hours. I would highly recommend this product if you are trying to keep an entire room cool and comfortable.

I bought a Haier HWX058C7 Air Conditioner and it works very good.  My family is happy and so are my pockets.  I was hesitant at first because I had never heard of this brand, but the store assured me money back guaranteed, so I had nothing to loose and cool air to gain.

Very cool window unit!!

I've had mine for about 2 years and living in Texas, this AC has been put to the test!!We do not have central heat and air so we rely on window units. It withstands the humidity, the hot, scorching heat, and being ran nonstop for 12 hours or more!! I love it!!
