I wanted a way to provide fresh water for my cats at all times.  I searched on the internet and found the Catit system.  It took my cats a couple of days to actually approach the fountain as they were a little scared of it, but they now love it!  There is a water reservoir that refills the fountain as the cats drink.  There is a pump that pushes water over the dome.  There is also a filter to keep the water fresh.  The fountain even keeps water at a cooler temperature which my cats seem to appreciate :)  I recommend this for cats or dogs.
